Game concept - need help Thread

Hello,

I am building multiplayer running game with obsticles. 1 road - 3 lanes. I have several ideas how to control player. Please help me to select the best idea. In both ideas, players can increase or decrease speed by fast/slow taping left half of the screen and then right. left,right, left, right....

Idea 1: every player has his lane. Hi can either jump or roll behind obsticle

Idea 2: every player can go in every lane by swiping left or right

What do you vote for? What would you play?

It really depends on how players effect each other. If players can push each other or at least they can block other players, allowing player to go in every lane will create competitive game. But if not, then idea 1 and idea 2 would be pretty much similar

I vote the second in case I'm bored and wanted lane change

It would add an interesting dynamic if a player switching to a lane to his left for example, pushed the player on that lane more to the left. And if they were on the far left lane they would just be pushed to the far lane on the right.
