hey guys im sort of at the starting point in making a freelancer mod (i have ship models all but finished ready to convert to MS3d, fighters, frigates, carriers)
my question is, can anyone point me to a tutorial or help me with scripting so a player can own a larger capital ship and also a smaller fighter, for example, have a carrier, fly around in that, and in a battle, set the larger ship to shoot at any enemy player/AI, and then take off in the fighter. also be used to dock with planets and stations as the larger ship is too big. end goal would be so any friendly player can doc with the players capital ship and buy from the player any nanobots, shield batterys the player may have in a separate slot

second is, is it possible to create a larger system map than what is currently in the game? i was thinking of doing a full conversion mod in making one large system as the whole game with planets and stations more to scale and just speeding up the max ship cruise speed and the use of trade lanes being more important and maybe only larger ships with the ability to jump (warp/light speed)

any help would be appreciated

i am aware lancersreacter is a good place to ask but they are taking there sweet ass time in processing my account
