These do not work, they're all scams. Don't bother with your time. Pyramid schemes on the internet are only used for spam and advertising, and you won't win an iPod. I don't want to shatter your dreams, but take my word for it.

I thought I'd share a post from Ipodlounge.com

The Pitch

Terms & Conditions - freeiPods.com
4. Being eligible to receive a free iPod
(a) Users must refer at least 5 friends to the site who must sign up, and correctly complete an offer from the site under the Terms listed above.
(b) Users must also complete at least one offer themselves.
© A user may not get credit for completing more than one offer. Their referrals must each do 1 offer, totaling 6 offers to be completed (1 by the customer, and 5 offers done by a minimum of 5 referrals).
(d) Referrals completing more than 1 offer will only count as 1.
(e) Users may refer more than 5 friends to try and maximize likelihood of getting credit and minimize the time it takes, but cannot receive credit for more than 1 iPod

The Facts

There seems to be some confusion about how this site (and others) works. Let me explain. You sign up. You have to get 5 referrals. Those 5 people each have to get 5 referrals (or people to sign up) and so on.

In terms of numbers it goes like this -
1 needs 5, 5 needs 25, 25 needs 125, 125 - 625, 625-3125, 3125, 15,625, 78125, 390625, 1953125, 9765625, 48828125, 244140625, 1220703125, 6103515625, 30517578125- that's when we run out! 16 levels.

Its a pyramid.
Plain and simple.
And as such it is not permitted in the iPodlounge Forums. You need to realise that you have to be one of the top 12% to actually ever stand a chance of getting anything from these schemes.
They are a con, and by signing up to them you are just perpetuating the scam and lining someone elses pocket. It is also spam. You post this info here, email your friends and family and so you are spamming for the spammer.
It is viral marketing*.
Most viral marketing plans use others resources to get the word out. Members who post messages and links to sites which feature the promise of free iPods are relaying the marketers message for them and they are using the resources of iPodlounge to do this rather than their own.

As such we will have nothing to do with them on iPodlounge and members who post messages on these "offers" may find themselves being banned from this site.

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it is...

*viral marketing
Definition -
Marketing phenomenon that facilitates and encourages people to pass along a marketing message.

Information
Viral marketing depends on a high pass-along rate from person to person. If a large percentage of recipients forward something to a large number of friends, the overall growth snowballs very quickly. If the pass-along numbers get too low, the overall growth quickly fizzles.

And don't sign up for this board just to further your own selfish gains.
