Filter by game Thread

A useful feature would be the ability to filter all content on moddb.com by a few games, for example when I'm looking for mods I only see those for games I have.

You can already do that.

How? Besides searching based on a game; I mean to permenantly filter the entire site based on your list of games (mods, requests, news, etc). If this feature is possible please tell me how to use it.

i agree. that would be much more help ful actually. you get to make a list of games you want to show up in the search or something like that right?

Go to the bottom of the page and click "Search Criteria, Game"; select your game and hit search.

you can search by game, but I do like the 'filter the entire site by' option...

I think they're asking for a favorites type feature added or something. Where it will filter games not on their favorites list. That's what I got out of it anyway.

It would be nice if in your profile, you could always filter it to just show the news for the games you want.

ie. in your profile you pick news for HL2, Unreal 2004 and Call of Duty. Now the main page only shows mod info for those mods with a small link letting you see all the news out there.

Would make it much easier to find news on just the one or more games that a certain person plays.

well the problem is that for each of the games u said there are maaany mods, meaning ud get like 100 modwatch a day. I dont think u have time to go through these...

He just meant he wanted to filter the news on the main page, not watch all of them. You know, just in case you're not paying attention to a great mod that just went off the page.

I'd like something like that, too

oh well that would be kinda helpful for me too... i sometimes skip right to the forums without even looking at the front page...
