This thread is on the Discussion of Finalizing Esc UT2k4 as far as GamePlay and Actor/Objects and other subjects at hand. The Project does however need a Coder to help finish the HUD and to assist with the Inventory system. I have my own Idea involving the ut2004 impersonator tools. The Idea is to buld a actor/object that will allow a player/npc to get on stage and then be able to walk to where the Object is and as long as they stay within the radius of that object it would appear that the model/player is singing. Also The ability to have The Bots auto toggle to the "O" opition for AutoDancing to a set of various predesiginated dance scripts. So when running the server when you goto the club area there are a few number of dancers already grooving. Need feedback on this.

These are some screenshots from the development map I put together for the ESC mod. I did the map over the course of approx. 20 hours spread over a couple of weeks time. The map is simplistic but functional and incorporates all of the features currently supported in map development by the mod. As the mod progresses and more features are developed, I intentionally left room in the map to be used to include those features - hence why the map is not completely filled with everyting in the world at the moment. Also this map is in release canidate 01 status, meaning much of the interior work is subject to change in the future before the final release is made.

For the future I have already got plans established for much more realistic, modern day themes. Such as inner city sprawls and raves, middle-of-no-where barn dance location for the cowboys in all of us, "Chinatown"/Japanese dance club, et cetera. All of these of course wont be seen for a while as the mod only currently needs a development map and I have other obligations I have to attend to (being a professional developer for a productions company).

I echo Leo above however that the mod needs a coder before ESC can see full life.
If you have interest in a social atmosphere mod I definately suggest getting ahold of the development team.
It is, so far, a fun little mod that needs a bit more TLC to be something huge.
