Engine Choosing Help, please... Thread

Hey anybody, I would very much appreciate it if someone would give me an engine that I will not to pay pay anything for(that excludes xna) I want to be able to make a game like the binding of isaac, only beat 'em up.

The ideal recommendation would look something like this:
Engine Name
Engine Language
Decent Tutorial
Download Link

I also forgot to mention that it should be free for commercial use.
