The one thing I have been annoyed at...and I see others are as well, is the lack of creativity in the half life community. I really wanted to start something that is different from the rest of the mods. However....I havent been keeping track all that much SOOO I need to know what the people who have been keeping up think of my modification. I have a Design Document done up, and a website Elementalonline.ca.tt and am currently looking for members...especially a concept artist. Here is the Overview Document ----------------------------- Project Name: Elemental Online (EO) Elemental Online is a multiplayer First-Person-Shooter designed for play on the Half Life engine. The game will feature four different elemental alignments and allow players to compete in a fast paced There are two main gametypes lined up for the Beta 1 release; basic Melee style combat that allows players to respawn and Last Man Standing which is played with elimination. Different gameplay modes will be implimented in later versons of EO. Upon entering a server, players will be faced with an alignment system that allows them to pick an element; Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Each element is aligned with a different character model, as well as a different set of stat modifiers that affect the hit points, speed, jump, damage and even allow certain classes lower gravity physics. Beta 1 will include two weapons that each class has in common. One will be a Semi/Full Auto Impulse Rifle. It will be accompanied by an EE (Energy Emitting) Sidearm. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Once the mod is underway, these thing are going to change. I really want to put a twist on the gameplay and maybe work out a better weapon system. Originally it was supposed to be just Elements and Desert Eagles...but I think this is better. Please tell me what you think. |
