I am looking at the HL2 SDK help. It has Hammer, Model making, release notes, reference docs and some online discussion stuff.

Where is the actual code you change and compile to make the mod? Is it accessible thru the Source SDK button on steam or do you have to get it somewhere else?

Thanks!

Once you get Half-Life 2, it's one of the things you can download off of Steam. The full proper SDK hasn't been released yet, but there should be news of its release here: Collective.valve-erc.com when it does :)

So it looks like the actual code for mod making is not out yet. Thanks.

No it is not, but keep posted, and it should be released relatively soon (say, December). It always takes a little while longer to release all of the coding. Right now, only mappers and modellers are the real benefactors from the HL2 SDK release.
