Bryan here! I’m a community manager for Dominari Tournament. The devs wanted to share which challenges and obstacles they faced while developing space RTS, Dominari Tournament.
There’s so much more to game development than making a game look pretty. TinyRTS’ Founder Ken Florentino remembers spending long nights going through use cases, sometimes foregoing the computer to write them out by hand instead. It was enough to make one’s head spin!
To handle the back-and-forth process of debugging, Ken added the replay ability to really narrow down where things may have gone wrong code-wise. The end result was a game with networking and gameplay running smoothly.
