Discussion regarding Voice Over rates Thread

Have you hired a voice actor before? How much did you pay them? What would you expect to pay somebody for a page of dialouge?

This is a rate card for non-union voice talent for games(the per minute refers to the finsihed recorded audio and not the amount of time the actor stays in the booth):

Per minute 100
00 to 05 minutes 100-250
06 to 15 minutes 250-500
16 to 30 minutes 500-750
31 to 45 minutes 750-1000
46 to 60 minutes 1000-2500

If you think it's too much, what would you expect to pay somebody for voice over? Thanks!!

This sounds too much to me for an Indie title. It all depends on the budget of the project, the fame/reputation and quality of the Voice Actor. I am sure you can find a decent Voice Actor in a way better price. I haven't hired a Voice Actor before so I am saying only what I have seen and heard.
