I own a game I had purchased from my desktop, which uses Windows 7. However, the game is also available on Linux and my laptop uses Ubuntu. Whenever I attempt to install the game I am given an error message - which states that there are no releases available for install. The strange thing that I cannot select a release or download one of the game's profile. Then Desura wants me to purchase a second copy, even though I already own the game - it even recognizes this when I visit the game's profile, where it normally says buy the word gift has taken its place. I'm perplexed by this situation. I wonder if this has something to do with my operating system(s), but I'm not entirely sure.

I tried searching for this topic - before posting - but, couldn't find anything. If anyone is wondering, the game I mentioned above is Xenonauts.

Hey the same happened to me but i managed to fix it. If your game is also a steam game, after you have installed it out it on your games library on steam and then undownload it off desura then download it on steam and attach it to desura, it will use the steam loading but it might work and you will be able to launch it off desura. Hope this helps (did for me).

I apologize for this, very, late post. The game I mentioned - Xenonauts - does not install through Steam, and is not played through Steam. I want to install the game on my laptop - which uses Ubunutu, but Desura claims I do not own Xenonauts and wants me to repurchase the game. As far as I know the game - currently - is only available through Desura. I want to know if anyone else has encountered this problem before, and if they found a solution? I can't understand what the problem is and I need help.

Ok it seems you have two accounts and made the purchase on the guest account. We will merge them for you.

This is odd, you definetely own the game. Are you sure you are logging into the correct account?

Also you can download / install it directly via: Indiedb.com

I am certain I am using the correct account. I'm not sure if, or how, I have two accounts, as Henley claims. They couldn't possibly be using the same email address, could they?

Good news, everyone! After finally reinstalling the operation system (Ubuntu), Desura seems to recognize that I own the game. I no longer appear to be having I had before. At least, nothing bad has happened yet. However, I am optimistic that the problem has ceased to exist - for myself, at least.

pleased to hear, usually when this occurs it means you have accidentally made 2 accounts and just need me to merge them.
