Hey everyone.

I thought I'd provide some links to some work I've done before I have you read a biography or anything similar. What good does a biography do if you don't like the product?

- Links -

Soundclick.com - New Frontiers Sample Reel. A Space/sci-fi Adventure/action title.

Soundclick.com - Some works composed for specific concerts for the stage.

Soundclick.com - Recently finished Comedy piece soundtrack.

Now if you want to read on, here is a short bio for those interested -

Cornelis currently lives in Cape Town, South Africa

- "I did not choose music, it chose me". Cornelis has been receiving private music tuition since the age of 6. Piano was his first instrument, but he quickly developed a great love for the violin, and picked it up shortly after. His first public appearance as musician was at age 7.Cornelis has received private tuition on the violin with Esme Koornhof, Piet Koornhof of the Potchefstroom Conservatory, Annette Wehnert of the Kölner Konservatorium, and Antoinette Lohmann of the Utrecht Conservatorium. These included master classes in baroque practise and performance. Until recently, he was under tuition of composer Hannes Taljaard. He also had sessions with American composer/pianist Evan Mack, and London based composer Robert Fokkens.

Cornelis is a devoted chamber musician, and has experience directing and leading small ensembles. He is also co-founder of the Strepitoso Chamber Ensemble. During the first term of 2006, he assisted with violin instruction to disadvantaged children at the conservatory in Potchefstroom. He is also a private violin instructor. Cornelis was principle 2nd violinist of the North West Youth Orchestra in South Africa during 2006, and was appointed co-concertmaster in 2007. In 2008 he was given the seat of concertmaster. During 2008 the orchestra performed very successfully in the UK, Holland, Germany, and in France. Cornelis performed with the international baroque orchestra Fons Partita in what was the first historic informed performance and recording of two of Handel’s Chandos Anthems in South Africa. In 2009 Cornelis became concertmaster of the PUK Symphony Orchestra.

Cornelis started writing music seriously when he was 13. Shortly after, he came under tuition of Hannes Taljaard. In 2006 his Piano trio - TRIAD, reached prize winning status. During 2007 he collected another prize for three of his newest works, Singlet (woodwind ensemble), Scapes & Falls (Solo Piano, first played in public on September 6th, 2007), and a cycle of Yiddish Folk songs (Piano trio & Soprano, incomplete version premiered 6 September 2007). In 2008 Cornelis ventured into scoring for machinima and pc games.

Hey man like the stuff, the new frontiers sounds are they samples or are they midi audio? Or are they actually real instruments?
I would be interested to know because I need to find some decent midi and samples for a project I am doing.

The New Frontiers score was indeed done with samples. Most of it with Synful Orchestra, and some odds and ends from other sample libraries thrown in. Synful is wonderfully expressive yet incredibly light-weight, it just requires you to get to know it well, so you can sort out its quirks.

Hope that helps!
