Can't play any mods Thread

Every time I try and play a mod for Half Life: Source it says "File not valid [C:\Program Files\Steam\steam\games\hl.exe] [61.0]". I've tried to play many different mods and it says the same thing over and over again, anything I can do to fix this?

kind of an odd path for the .exe, there should not be any of them in that folder just icons. Steam/steamapps/profilenamehere holds source games and stuff, not that i know how to solve anything

I changed the location of my game and it still says the file needs to be verified. I went into the file and tried to launch it from there and it brought up the page to by Half Life on steam. I don't know what to do any more

Manually point Desura to the new location.
