Can't Install Desura Thread

I download the installer and It launches. It tries to update desura then it brings up "Failed to update Desura: Check sum failed on file\\desura.exe [49.0]"
I ran it as administrator and still, nothing.

Same here... i use win7.

First experience with Desura is, so far, not a good one.

Fails to launch, fails to update.

Can I download the game I bought without having to go through the buggy client?

I have a similar issue on their Linux client. The Linux client gives a CRC error for liblibcef_desura.so and then refuses to run beyond that point. Attempting a force update does the exact same.

I worked fine when I used it a year ago.

Yeah, I can't install it either, tried it yesterday too, same stuff. Fix it already.

Which is really sad. I might not game much, but I still game from time to time and I like Desura. Now I can't even use it any more because the program will not run or update. I am making one last ditch effort by attempting to build Desurium.

After 3 days, it looks like it's working again, downloading now.

Confirmed, Desura is working again in Linux.

Yeah we had a backend issue, if anyone is still having issues please download a fresh copy of Desura from our website and reinstall.
