Hello everyone, I'm Figro (Eric), CYS's lead (and only) artist, and I would like to share a little bit about EpicToast Interactives current project Can You Survive. Can You Survive is a First person Retro Indie RTS/RPG game with an interesting art style and a lot of personality. Basicly, you control three main characters who you must protect from the never-ending zombie horde, you can go about doing this is multiple different ways!
* Equipping them with makeshift weapons (such as construction tools like pipes and hammers) help them to defend themselves during combat and ultimately defeat their undead assailants! *Giving them projectiles to throw during combat stuns enemies giving other characters time to hit them over the head with crowbars and 2x4's! *Feeding them consumables such as water and candy bars boosts their heath and keeps them alive and running. The level is entirely open world, while the goal of the game is to escape the level with all of your characters alive, there are countless different routs you can take to do so, this is because if you find a key you can open any door you want! With that said, not all paths are the safest to take, if your luck runs out and you open the wrong door it could be game over for you and your party! Speaking of party, your characters include... Erwin- the annoying nerd who you just wish would stop talking already, if your characters had to choose who to sacrifice to the zombies, ti would probably be him... Trevin- the overconfident jock who tries his hardest to stay cool while staring death in the face, but how calm and collective can you be when your comrades are being ripped to bloody shreds by infected monsters?!? Oswald- the character who looks like the weak old janitor during every day life shows his true side when confronted with endless waves of dead students! His comrades not only see that he is actually a bad-ass action hero underneath, but without him.... they would be doomed!
Being in its alpha stage, all of the features we have planned are not all currently implemented, such as... * Cool colorful fighting animations during combat. * Balancing of the combat to instill a sense of fear in the player. * Balanced weapon spreading in the map so the player isn't as overpowered. * A TON of game-play bugs that need to be fixed! But hopefully, when all of the planned features are added, and we have the support of many terrific fans, we will have a fun but challenging, lively, and energetic indie game to look back at! With that said, you can play our latest alpha build here- And please, by all means, give us feedback, comments, cake, suggestions, bugs, or anything else you would like to give us!
