I doubt I'm the only one, but I'm getting extremely tired of people posting mod ideas started by a phrase, I have no modding skills, but I'd like someone to make this idea for me." Not only are these ignorant but by the fact that they're already admitting to have no skills nor any attempt at doing the things that only need real life common sense skills (AKA Managing, writing, Editing, Administrating, ect) they are guranteeing an idea will never get off the ground. If I'm the only person this annoys, please post saying so. -- Pez says: |

Well its been going on for a while now and you can't really stop people from doing it. I mean you could ban them but that would be way extreme, and you can post terms of agreement or forum rules but even then there is no gurantee that these new members will read them. Yeah but I totally wish there was something we could do to stop all these people requesting for a mod to be made for them. In the meantime however I suppose we should do our part by not flaming them and at least trying to make the moddb forums a welcoming place no matter how much of a nublett they are. --

It shouldn't be too much trouble in my eyes to merely close threads of this nature. Mainly because in recent days a lot of ideas are being drawn out by people sometimes as much as tripple posting nonesense. If they're just closed the person would actually have to try and start another thread which could very easily be considered banable at that point. Edited by: Chaossaber314 -- Pez says: |

Good thing it's not up to you whether or not we should get rid of people who may or may not have the skills to run a mod. The "Mod Ideas" is just basically that, ideas for a mod. It doesn't mean you're required to have the skills in order to post an idea. That was the basis of the whole forum. No reason to ban people that haven't done anything to you in the first place. -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

Please try re-reading my post. I'm not talking about banning people, I'm talking about a ban on threads where the person admits they have no skills and demands someone makes the mod for them. Not one where someone says they don't have any real skills but they're willing to manage it. -- Pez says: |

Then if you don't want to do anything about the problem, don't flame people who do just this like i've seen both of you do in the past. -- Pez says: |

Yeah thats definitly true I cannot say for sure that either of you have flamed anyone for this, but it happens and one problem or the other needs to be aleviated. --

Lay off, Ippo. You've been in a permanent bad mood for years. --

Show me any proof of this? For the majority of the time, I am the one actually defending the guy while people (speaking generally) attack the new guy. I think we should start editing the posts of people that go on attack parades on someone who might not be familiar with the rules, and instead help them out. Either that, or have fun with the idea that they come up with and mold it into something that'd be fun to talk about. A mod idea doesn't always have to come to fruition. That would make things better around here. EDIT: I am not trying to start a flamewar or anything like that, Sajt. This is just an issue that bothers me a lot, where people are always thinking critically pessimistic about someone when they come in with a mod idea but no skills. I just felt like something such as this needs to be off my chest, because I don't like the way things have been going as of late. I could name some members that do this a lot, but I'm sure most of you know who they are already. No way. We don't want this turing into something like Garry's Mod's forums. |

Chaossaber314, you can just shut up. People have the right to post whatever mods they want. Who the fuck cares if they don't have any modding skills, that's what mod teams are for. Like ImTheDarkcyde said, get off your fucking ass and make your own site. Then you can ban whoever you damn well want. -- Read this and read it well, A knight is sworn to valor Knight's old code |

Case. Fecking. Solved. Ippo solved it, but you people have to perpetuate worthless crap. Leave each other alone because the war ends here. If you so choose, find a different way to vent. Preferably something that is not affiliated in any way, shape, or form to this site. Edited by: Sticky |
