I know lots of people post their ideas here and think they are the best of the world, I'm posting my idea here today because I don't know where to start.

Ever played Advance Wars on the GBA, well I have. I liked them and for those that don't know the series, it's a Turn-Based Strategy military themed. However they seemed to get worse the more people liked it. I have an entire text of what I would change exactly. For starters bigger maps, more units and buildings, more diverse units too, different terrains, more CO's and no CO superpowers that can damage other player units.

The thing is, I have no experience in coding, I have tried to learn, but I don't even understand a logic gate. I can't draw that well, but better than most.

I get ideas and ideas, and they just sit on my computer, gathering virtual dust. It would just be fun if for once I could do something with one.

You're referring to Drake's Tsunami and Sturm's Meteor right? :)

Anyways, I think you need to improve your idea so it's more than just Advance Wars expansion idea

Too bad I don't know what engine which could help you (or anyone) to create tactics game like this

Yes I was referring to those 2, and in a lesser extent towards Kanbei and Eagle's unfair Lightning strike. Even though there was a decrease in attack and defense they sure changed that in the second one. While Kanbei was just awful, too expensive and too strong, Max at least had a disadvantage shortening his range. While Kanbei's units don't suffer from anything, making him overpowered in a predeployed map. So basically in the original, which as far as I'm concerned is the best Advance Wars, there were 4 CO's I never played with or against.

Being a GBA game, that's pretty bad because everything is already so limited. Why not just improve upon the idea, instead of ending up with something like Days of Ruin. Which basically was made because they didn't want to make another Advance Wars but were just too lazy to come up with anything else. Despite that it had some nice ideas, not like it makes it worth all the effort.

And if it has its own style, it'll become something different nonetheless.
