Hi all,

We are a Stockholm-based indie dev studio, and we would like to introduce our first title before the launch of our Kickstarter campaign on August 23.

Allians is a breakthrough in the evolution of online card games. Unlike any other CCG, the cards represent real people, including all registered users. Card strengths are based on the players’ achievements in external gaming platforms like Steam as well as progression in Allians itself.

The following short video introduces some of the most important game and design elements:

Cards from other players are called Allies, used to build decks. You can equip them with powerful skills, and then use your deck to challenge other players in online battles. You win by beating the opposing Commander in one-on-one clashes between your cards. You need to whittle down the enemy Commander's health to zero before they do the same to you. When you run out of cards your rounds will be numbered - but you will still be able to fight back. Also, there is a time and place for each card in Allians, so even the weakest card has its uses.

While everyone will have the opportunity to stand out from the crowd, some have already succeeded... Here is a selection of high profile players who support the concept of Allians. These known streamers, top CCG players, cross- and cos-players and even a Guinness record holder in achievement hunting will be included in the "Allians Friends" packs that will be distributed to our backers on Kickstarter.

You can even create a sneak peek of your very own card! Head over to yourcard.alliansgame.com and compare your strengths with your friends.

We’re gratefully looking forward to any feedback, suggestion, or question. It can be about the concept, the game design, our visual appearance… anything, really. We are open to all opinions.

A great idea :] What will keep players in the game for a long time, except hype?

Except for the usual things like leaderboards, tournaments, and the plentiful tactical options preventing the gameplay from becoming repetitive, the most important element might be the fact that instead of made-up characters, you can play with your friends and idols as cards. We have just released a new gameplay teaser, check it out. :)
