An actual great idea! Locking your own threads... | Locked | |

The creator of a thread can lock it. Example: I make a thread. Someone answers my question or flamming is starting. I can lock it since i created the thread. |

Somtimes, out of a strange topic can come a very interesting and controversial conversation. The people arguing (debating?) wouldnt want the topic locked. If they cant handle it, they can just stop. |

I like this idea, it means that if you feel a thread you have made as been finished then you can finish it [.] -- ModDB Fucking Oldtimer and (ex) Crow |

Well, it sounds okay, but what if you wanted to carry on this long Cosmos discussion, but ended up flaming the crap out of a guy and then quickly closing it so the other guy could never do anything about it? Sure, an admin/mod would come along and close it, but hell, I'd want my two cents in on a public display -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

I think forums for open discussion should be just that. Unless it decends into a slanging match or something, in which case the mods can step it. I think the system is fine right now. -- Defeat in Detail 2 - Standalone RTS Game |
