I have no coding experience, but i need to know how hard it would be for me to open the hl2 sdk and do this: - Make it so that when a certain NPC gets killed, a hidden trap door opens. Also to make a button open a hidden trap door. Then all i will need to do is learn how to compile everything. Thanks. |

That should be possible to do with hammer. no coding or compiling required. not 100% sure though -- >:| |

Yeah, using a trigger, you just have to walk over something, and it could operate a trap door. I've seen things like that before implemented into maps through Hammer. Don't know any tutorials, though. -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

I don't know about HL2 but in every other engine I've seen you can make the death of an npc trigger events without needed to code anything. -- Defeat in Detail 2 - Standalone RTS Game |

And if you have no coding experience, and if you don't know C++ or C, this would be basically impossible. |
