Allegiance and Betrayal

Treason :Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by
waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.

A war between the European Union and The United States has broke out. The EU has been having discussions about the US for several years now,because they believe that the US is becoming too influencing,and dominating, on european countries that hold to their customs, native businesses drop drasticly in profit all due to American products. Music, Movies, Apparell, even television shows all from the US are found everywhere in these old fashioned countries. The politcal leaders have tried drastic measures to keep traditions in their third world countries, such as
making laws against music and clothing. After several years the EU has decided to retaliate, not only because of the "bad influence" the US has on their communities and economy, but they believe that the US is too controlling over other territories. As they still pretend to be allies to america the EU holds their final hearing, WE MUST TAKE A STAND!!! The EU has decided to act out, by breaking the treaty and aiding the US's current enemies. This cannot be tolerated.

The US is oblivious to the EU's conspiring and plans to attack. The EU has decided to make the first
attack at the Wold Leaders Hearing in the US...

The EU sets up the first attack, Camp David was hit with an outdated missile, it seems as if the EU was only taunting the US...

The war begins...

This Mod is for HALF-LIFE 2. It is a war mod based on a war between the US and the European Union.
It is RPG based.

-Extensive amount of various weapons, equipments and accessories.

-Different classes such as, medic, engineer, recruit, marksman, and other classes.

-Also a ranking-ladder to excel in.

-Large environments, such as urban cities, old ruins, fields of hills and trees and even on the sea.

-Get appointed to different misions, repair items, purchase items, recieve medical treatment in the HQ,
by npc's, or ont he fields by your fellow recruits.

-Total realism to make you feel as if you were really in battle, asside from the sweat and pain...

The ReadMe will come with a list of advancements

The Beta will be released on the HL1 engine and after HL2 comes out we will start a complete version on that engine.

Will You be alone or commander of a few people cause this sounds like youd need help to win the game

It depends, if you check out the team at Convex Studios and the forums and stuff you would see that you can be a general or commander of a regiment, or you would be in the regiment under the general, so you will most likely be with teammates unless you are ordered to perform a task alone.

I like games like that except when there are power hungry commanders

EXACTLY! Except there is no shocking devices, although my partner has created a list of sniper rifles that is going to be used, one of them is an anti-material sniper rifle. There is no hiding from this beast.

i have come up with a list of around 20 sniper rifles, i hope to use 10 of them not done looking up pistols, rifles, machine/submachine guns yet. I can tell you that this mod will be able to put an end to firearm's little "Guns....Lost of guns" qoutation
i know Half-Life can only have 32 guns or so
how many can HL 2 have?

Yes we do need a team.

But wolfwood's got this CRAZY impression that everyone will like this mod better as a singleplayer/co-op. but the idea of having this mod as a singleplayer or a co-op is laughable. he says it will create more of a "POW' or "BANG" or w/e the fuck he said.

Hey, if you like negative comments, I sorta got one! I disagree with you and think a Co-op or Singleplayer mode might not be such a bad idea. But, I don't know as much about this mod as you, so maybe I'm wrong. I'm just a fan of Singleplayering .

Metal_Sac This mod might not lend itself well to SP anyway. I don't know what exactly is best in this case. I encourage you to think about it.

I have, ALOT. I really cant find this story in a singleplayer. We would end up with one wierd mod and alot of people calling me a british hate lol i would LOVE to have a single AND multiplayer. Wolfwood hates that idea. too much "work" well im a beurcrat. this work is NOTHING compared to what im used to! so maybe ill change his mind by FORCE

OK, I agree. Don't let me screw up this mod by encouraging SP if that's wrong for it. At any rate, I would'nt want it to be SP only. And now I'm convinced that it won't work at all. I was thinkin about it, too, and the story won't work real well for SP.
