Act of war ideas.... Thread

Hi all !

I'm new to this forum and I can't mod but I think i got an excelent idea for an Act of War Mod !

A Halo mod : let me explain :

- replace consotium by Covenants
- Replace Us army by UNSC

UNSC (US ARMY)

- Replace Marine, sniper, javelin and delta force skin to be (in order) --> Marine(Smg)(BR with upgrade), Sniper (marine), Rocket launcher (marine) and finally, ODST (with BR)

- Replace Bradley, Abram, Humvy, Paladin, Avenger skin to be ---> Gauss warthog, Scorpion tank, Normal Warthog, futuristic Paladin, Rocket Warthog

- Replace Apache, Medevac, Blackhawk skin, B-2 --> Missile Pelican, Mediveac Pelican, Transport Pelican (with barrel gun) and Longsword bomber

- Change skin for buildings

- Change audio and icons

And that's all we need for UNSC (the attacks, stats and such are all good)

Covenant (Consortium)

- Replace Ak-74 Soldier, MM-1 mortar, RPG-7, Kornets, SA-7, Optical Camo Soldiers --> Jackals(pistol), Brute (Bruteshot), Grunt(Fuel Rod), Hunter, Elite (can switch between plasma rifle and covenant carabine), Camo Elites(Covenant Carabine).

- Add new units --> Grunts (pistol), Grunts (needler), Drones

- Replace Hind, YF-23 (black Widow), V-22 Transport --> Banshee, Seraphins fighters, Phantom transport

- Replace Fennek, Porcupine mortar, Akula, BTR-80, AMX-10, BMM-1 medevac --> Spectre, Wraith, Scarab (might be diffcult...), Shadow, Ghost, Medevac Shadow

- Replace Buildings skin icons, audio + stats and attack animations

IT will be ok because we are not selling the mods and also another team is working on a halo mod for CC General. So I guess that it is ok...

No, it's not ok.

Selling or not selling makes no difference. If microsoft find out about it they will shut you down.

No, it really won't be okay. But change it a bit and set it in a new universe, and it will be a better game.

No, it's not ok. Several mods using the Halo universe have been shut down already.

But if a mod like halogen had been accepted... why this couldn't ?

It's not accepted, it just hasn't been shut down yet.

It's illegal, don't do it.

Is it really that hard to be original?
