K stay with me... match-3!

I SAID STAY!!

Goddamit - its a uphill struggle this one. So - I think there is a beautiful core in match-3, Im looking back to the Bejewelled era AT LEAST. Its odd though - pass it to your mum and she's instantly an expert - but give it it Johhny and Johnette hardcore - and they are utterly baffled. Anyway - i'm making a pretty cool take on the genre but - have really only been thinking about mobile. The touch controls are just so well suited.

But - and i'm asking here - as I know people understand games here.

Do you think there is any point me bringing it to PC/Desktops. Personally Im just not a fan of mouse control - but, id love to hear anyones thoughts . If you just want to rant about what a terrible genre match-3 is - go for it as well - I think I can make some half way decent defences and maybe give you a desire to see what the fuss is about :)

Maybe not :)

Perssonally, I prefer mouse control, but I am always willing to try something new. Why not go ahead and bring it to desktop? Where I live, the older ladies would love it, but this is just my opinion. Match 3's are fun to play, but I like fps games best. If you do bring to desktop, I would be very happy to try it out. I will also wish you the best of luck, whatever you choose to do. Have a good one!

Thanks @grouchbag. Interesting you mention 'Older Ladies' - do you think they would play something like this with a mouse - I guess though lots of these games are facebook apps as well as mobile - your probably right - its not a *huge* time investment to bring to desktop as well (but still non zero..)

I can't answer for everyone,of course, but yes it is possible.Older ladies?Yes,My apt building is a senior citizen complex. Some of the women I know Like stuff like Bejewelled and Jewel Quest.I like them myself, but I also love stuff like Doom,Doom 3,Wolfenstein 2009,Quake 4,etc.I should also mention I am a 63 year old woman as well. Most of the older women I know don't bother with Facebook or Twitter though.Even so though, you will possibly find a good audience. What a lot of people don't like though.is some of the "permissions' on downloaded games from Amazon and Googly play.I do understand that the demos and the free games do have ads. It's just the paid games that want to know all about your location, wifi network and stuff like that.I don't know if yours would be a paid game or not,but I certainly would try playing your game.A demo would be good enough,I like checking those out.I don't ask for free games either, because I understand how hard you guys work,so you DO earn your money, and rightly so.I also encourage developers like yourself, since I don't know how to make games myself. If you decide to do a desktop version, you can always sell it through Steam,Indie DB,and Desura.Or for android,of course Google Play. Thanks for your time, and wish you double good luck for this and other future games.Hope this has helped you at least a little. :)

Why thank you! That is a super nice compliment. And yes, I really like those games. I also play the Bejewelled games and the like as well. I hope you don't mind, but I checked your profile, and what I saw listed made me doubly proud. Your gender. That is great! We need more like you. My hat off to you as well! Cheers! :)
