A rare MODification for HL2 Thread

I have seen some of the topics, and i liked the "sims idea".
How about making a MOD familiar to "The Sims"?
It would be like "The Sims Online"(for free)
That would be a nice idea.
And we get a little action into it, by making weapons accessable
My plans are:

Maps:
Neighborhoods, with a few houses
Players start with a little amount of cash, and they can buy houses (causes the houses door to open, and the player get the ability to lock/unlock the door)
The maps also contain shopping malls, must have food you know...

The houses:
Contains frigs', microwave, beds, whatever and so on.
Have things like windows (so other players can brake in and steal things like hidden money under the bed)

The shoppingmall and its goods:
One thing is for sure, FOOD, then comes other things like burglar alarms, traps and many other.
The mall is closed at special times, the mall can be robbed, or you can brake in a window, but it will be VERY difficult.

The timesystem:
The clock will be a little faster than normal time (we cant wait 12 hours until the mall opens), so we speed up the clock.

The moneysystem:
There will be special buildings (museums, the mall, parking lots and other)
The players can take jobs as i.e. police, who guards at night, and bust burglars and so on.
If there arent any players working as police, the polices will be replaced as bots.
If the human polices dont do the work right, they will be fired (this cause the burglar and police will not get the ability to co-operate).

The Players system:
The player have the ability to do many things, such as organize gangs and so on, they can blackmail spesific players++
If a player gets "killed" they return to the Hospital (Hospital is on evry map)
they will also have to wait to recover, in the hospitals safe bed or sit home with the shotgun in the hand...

So this MOD will be "A very advances sims action"
i cant think of anything right now...
But i will get back with tons of ideas

And one really important thing: !IT WILL BE 3D!

And ive already got up some ideas again

The joining system:
This is Free For All, no teams, but you can organize one
The categories you can join is:
-Citizen
-Criminal
The Citizen have the abilities mentioned above.
The Criminal gets extra cash and easier accessability to weapons.

Now ive also figured out a "target" for all of the players, making the gameplay better, the main objective for anyone of the players is:
1- Be the only one alive (the rest is on the hospital or recovering at home)
2- Get enough money to escape from the city (Buying a ticket at airport/ railroad)
3- Get to the maps' "the hill" that could be i.e. the well defended church-tower or a warehouse in a military base.

Update on the player system:
There will be "bars" for ALL of the players:
-energy
-hunger
(we dont need the "fun" or "entertainmant" bar )
-and the "bladder" bar :p use the toilet regulary :p
-the "hygienic" bar is not really neseccary, but it can be discussed.
i didnt remember the rest of the bars...

I also found a name for the possible MOD "The Sins"

but won't the game then have to share and store user information?

things like what houses you own, since otherwise you'll lose everything when a map changes or you disconnect from the server.

Yes, at each round end / disconnect, you will lose evrything.
Things go reset...

hmm interesting... so you'll need to tweak the economy so you can get things faster.

Yep, first one to make money and grow strong!
But this is only an idea, the MOD hasnt any builders, but if someone wanna make things out of this ill gladly join them
I can skin weapons/items as soon ill get milkshape registred...

it sounds interesting... will there be any fighting, and such?

The possibilities are pretty big yes
All from hand-combat to sattelitecannons would be fun

I have programmed before, in Visual Basic :p and im gonna learn C++ over the summer...
I have skinned weapons with animations, but dont know how to put them into game and creape a complete file that includes more than one animation
I have tryed mapping, but my compilers always crash.
I have more ideas than all the #### in the world.
(i dont know who #### is, but they have many ideas yes)
I know how to make sounds
I can soon make MODs all by myself
In a few months :[
And after the summer, ill MAYBE be able to get a internetpage online...
And i am thinking of making this MOD, maybe, and i have a secret MOD on my notepad... :]

I think it sounds kinda gay sorry LoL just cause i hate sims

if you try mastersword for half-life, they have a file that it checks and loads your progress everytime you join a game it is like a character save on your computer

How would you win the game?

A cool idea would be if other online ppl could giv you jobs to do, such as lookin after their house while theyre AFK! Of course they would pay you for it. There could also be more criminal jobs that they give you like robbing the mall or a rivals house.
