Hello everybody. After searching through pages of mods, seeing what people here are capable of, I had a suggestion for a mod. First off, I have little to no experience modding in any way, so the true scope of this project is probably skewed in my head. I just need input. I want to see a complete remake of the playstation 1 game Legend of Dragoon. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's an old RPG style game with an awesome story and FFVIII graphics. It was a long game, encompassing 4 discs. It had some cinematic, and a load of characters. Look it up if you haven't heard of it before, it's a great game. Basically I wanted to see it made true to the story, with the same camera setup and attack/defense/item setup like the original had. I kind of wanted to see new models for the various weapons and armor you could get throughout the story, and better animations for the transformation sequences in fights. All the original additions and items, bosses, and locations. Since out of combat, there was only a static overhead camera view for each area, mapping should be relatively simple (or so I understand it). So essentially what I'm asking for is input as to how huge of a project this would be (if we did it disc by disc). How many people it might take, what engine would be best for it, etc... I'm not really looking to start a mod group, but I kind of wanted to see what more experienced modders would have to say about this project (and to see if anyone remembers this old game and thinks it would be worth it).
