1.randomize the base solders weapons between the assault rifle, smg, shotgun, and battle rifle. not every solder in halo held the same weapon.
2. add a flamethrower solder. (halo 1 or 3 as reference)
3. make the warthog types upgrades for the standard one.
4. bug report: the NPc characters love to send there ODST drops into buildings problem they don't drop they just spawn. so I have 6 enemy solders spawned in my buildings that my solders can't kill half the time
ahhh the random weapon thing.... maybe, im not sure how that could be balanced :/... and about the odst thing... they have to be spawned like that... the whole AI being stupid is just that.. the AI being dumb... we need a person that can code AI to fix that, lol... also, was thinking about a flame trooper.. maybe later when the buildings are replaced... this beta was really just a test for gameplay
about the odst drop you know that you have 50% change of staying alive when you set your feet first into hell also know as a HEV for people that dont know the quote of the odst
Excuse me! ODST will die if you spawn them near your building cause you will hit the building... i reality a bad landing zone for them... i already incounter those Drops just drop them from a wide place for them to land thats all ^.^
i just checked, i did fix that problem... reinstall the mod, and make sure you follow the directions exactly, if it doesnt work, idk... no one else seems to have that problem
Ok so this is awesome! But i noticed a couple of bugs.
1. Pelican Rockets wont fire
2. Skyhawk texture/skin/mesh is wrong, its just a Jet. It doesn't look like a skyhawk
3. Don't know if its a bug or not, but ODST snipers aren't camouflaged. I only mention it because the other ODST units are.
4. I'm not sure here, but are the Pelican main weapons meant to be so weak against buildings?
ProTip: Regardless of how long it takes, make changing the names of the Units/Buildings a priority. I have no idea what some of my buildings/units are because the Object names or whatever are missing.
idk about the pelican rockets... another bug i guess... they work on mine... and seeing as the skyhawk has never been seen in any halo game, wat does it look like exactly? the snipers, lol the mod isnt finished, not everything is polished, or anywhere near complete... as for the pelicans gun, i just completely forgot about it (DERP) i actually have it stronger and with rockets in the current build, oh fill some pelicans with some rocket guys (evil smile)
on the balance just make sure that all units taht have the random weapon put out eh dame damage per second. (works well on some other mods.)
Somethign I noticed. the normal AI plays like a hard AI. (I spent half an hour trying to fortify my base and it sends every drop in on my army which is half way to its base then wiped me out.)(I think it was set on normal.)
haha, your obviously playing as the UNSC... you have to be fast, this mod IS based on the books, and how the games should be.. its annoying realistic, my fix, change the starting money in your skirmish.ini file in your documents folder (zero hour data) to -1 (infinite money) and build like hell, if you arent that good at the game
and its staying realistic... b/c its balanced right now, for the most part.. some things are still being changed obviously, but the mod IS realistic (kinda, wraith should destroy anything with one shot, as should scorpion and cobra)
hmm did you check the unofficial maps ? or whatever its called? thats where they are located, and my Marshlands map (my best :D) isnt labeled Halogen, lol, but the new maps are under the unofficial section
Okey so that is the issue, looks like I can still enjoy the mod on the stock maps, unless someone releases a map pack so people like me with disfuntual versions of zero hour can enjoy the game more fully.

mechgt5 i have an idea maybe you could make a type of space map it looks like space etc and has space stations space ships etc for space battles or if you can add some kind of space battle to the campaign or at least to the game.

The skyhawk unit looks exactly like the Aurora Bomber to me.
