Sword Fighting 2: Storming Liath Cathrach file

HINTS & UNIT GUIDE:
Since every weapon is very strong, don't rush into the enemy like you would do in SWBF2's Mos Eisley hero assault or you will be killed at instant. You have to attack from the correct distance, angle and with the correct timing to be successful in a duel. Learn your weapon's combo and decide on how and when it's used best.

Buffs give you a very huge advantage. They actually decide the battle's outcome.

Retreat when you are hurt badly or have to face more enemies than you can handle. You get health and ammo from wooden crates at most of the CPs/Flags.

Unit descriptions in here because they are a *little* bit different from the stock SWBF2 units.

Man at Arms / Imperial Soldier:
Standard infantry. Medium health and speed.

Crossbowman / Mercenary
Uses crossbows at medium range and daggers for short range. The crossbows are inaccurate, but you can kill from a safe distance. They can be charged up to increase the bolt's speed and damage and also shoot fire bolts that do better damage and have an AoE. The daggers are weaker than swords, don't even try to use them as your main weapon.

Royal Guardsman
Enough health to survive more than one hit, but they are slow and thus easy pray for Mercenaries. The two-handed swords have a longer range than normal swords, so the Guardsman is strong against Imperial Soldiers and Assassins. They can use a defense buff to prevent nearby friendlies from getting one-hit killed.

Assassin
Fast, good health and high jumps. Uses 2 daggers with short range but high damage. Can throw his daggers and use a offense buff to make nearby units able to one-hit kill even a Royal Guardsman. Their speed gives them an advantage against Crossbowman's and their health slowly regenerates.

Magician
Lots of health, medium speed. His wand deals low damage but pushes people away. Use it to clear your path. Knows 3 different spells. The first one throws an orb that explodes, the second one summons a storm spirit and the third one throws an orb that implodes. Lulzy on bridges.

Storm Spirit
Small glowing orb that can be controlled by it's summoner. Shoot's lightning. The lightning is weak, but massively slows down enemies, stops jumps and uncovers Imperial Knights. Strong Storm Spirits can set free all their energy at once, causing lightning to struck around the area, but killing the spirit.

Imperial Knight
Using long iron claws and a body armor with stealth mode, which makes them invisible. Extremely dangerous for everything that hasn't enough health to hit back once attacked.

Fragment Bearer
Elite knights wielding legendary ancient magic swords, known as Fragments. High health and supreme attack power. Can summon strong Storm Spirits.

Shadow
Ghost-like entities with a huge mace, a soul consuming sword and a crossbow.
While the mace throws people away, the sword deals high damage and the crossbow is more powerful and accurate than the Mercenary's and the Crossbowman's. Also, they can only be killed with fire and magic, even though they are immune to Fragments. If you can't fight them, run.

Light Infantry
Medium health and speed, light assault weapons and energy blades.

Heavy Infantry
High heath, low speed, powerful beam guns and energy battleaxes. The beam gun overheats fast, but due to the high health you can aim carefully without worrying about being killed. At least a few times.

Snipers
Fast, low health, stealth mode and a sniper rifle. Perfect campers and infiltrators. No stealth when hurt.

Siege Troopers
Long range rocket spam. The rocket launcher has two fire modes. The first one shoots single rockets while the second one empties all 4 barrels at once. Carries a weak fire weapon for when the ammo for the launcher runs out.

Vanguard-armor MP type
Better speed and agility than light infantry. Has a fast regenerating shield device for short shootouts. Uses a light shotgun with 2 firing modes. First one is the shotty, second one turns it into a low-capacity assault rifle. They can deploy manable beam turrets.

Skyknight
Fast, very low health and a napalm bomb mortar. They use their jump pack to hop over the walls. The napalm bomb mortar is very powerful, but runs out of ammo very fast. Jump in, blow stuff up and jump out again before someone knows what happened. Health regenerates fast.

Guardsdroid
Deploys a very powerful area shield to protect his comrades. Has a weak beam laser for self defense. Can be easily killed from within the shield bubble.

Vanguard-armor Prototype
Better than the MP type. Uses some experimental weapons.

Imperial Captain
Has lots of health and a jump pack. Uses an experimental assault rifle.

A medieval-style SWBF2 map by Bob with a focus on melee weapons.

How to install:
1. Go into your Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData folder and create a folder called addon if you don't have one.
2. Unpack the SW2.rar and copy/move the decompressed SW2 folder into that addon folder.
3. Play. You might want to turn out friendly fire.
