DevBuild release for Stalker: Singularity (SIN) mod for Shadow of Chernobyl.
A lot has happened, evolved, changed and progressed since the last build of SIN was released. It's been far too long, that's for sure, but it is the reality of not having many people stepping up to help with a project of this size. Make no mistake, this build isn't complete, some features are incomplete, others currently disabled for reasons I won't bore you all with, but the build is playable start to finish, it's relatively stable at least and packs a lot of new stuff for you all to experience and mess around with. Being a DevBuild some things are placed for our convenience for testing purposes such as the time of day the game starts, Wolf giving you enough arms and armour to weaponise a small country, etc.
Ultimately this DevBuild is being released for testing to hoover up bugs we might not know about, to give you all something to play around with, and because we are a very small team of aging modders, I started it when I was 23, I'm now almost 38. The hope is by people seeing this it might inspire them to offer some help, we want to finish this mod, but without help it will not see the full potential we have in mind.
Just drop the extracted archive files into your stalker directory, right-click on xrEngine in the bin_x64 folder and create a shortcut. Right-click on the shortcut and select "Properties", in the "Target" field add -steam outside of the quote marks, then click OK. Now just double-click the shortcut to launch.

edit: had to remove "string_table_includes" from localization.ltx to access main menu
Thats weird, that shouldn't have been necessary. I'll look at it when I'm next working on SIN.

You need to have Shadow of Chernobyl installed for this mod.
How do you disable the debug information (gvid, pos, dir, etc). And is there an option for English subtitles?
Comment the lines out with -- in bind_stalker.script. No English subtitles and trust me you don't want the English dialog its bloody terrible which is why we use native language with the important stuff in English.
hey, im making a big *** weapon pack for anomaly. where can i find the nagant revolver that Strifer made 10 years ago? is it in the dev build? IM on the gamma discord under Mo3killin.. or msg me on here. i've tried contacting Strifer on YT but he probably doesnt check it much
Can't get past the section where you climb the ladder to meet the doctor, it crashes to desktop.

Whoa, sorry for this mega delayed reply... curse of real life. Not sure how that one crept through but no doubt me changing unique properties then doubling back on a decision. Doctor is a hack the devs had to do if you go to Gamedata > config > models > captures copy/paste barkeeps_god_immunity.ltx to the desktop, rename it doctor_master_resists, open the file and for immunities_sect change it to doctor_master_resists. Thats it, move the file to the captures folder. New build will be dropping in the not too distant future :)
i wonder what's your driving force is, the determination to keep it going for 10 plus years makes me wonder, will it be worth it?

It would be a lot easier if a few people stepped up to help with certain aspects but I will go it alone if I must, the whole reason SIN development has been so long is because I've never had a consistent team behind me outside of a couple of people. Then theres the whole thing of you know, making games is long work anyway.
