Newest Base Release - Main features are rebalanced souls, new heroes and items, mastery changes and, as always, a lot of fixes.


Changelog 0.9

- General -
Added newest Fanpatch patchfix changes.
Rescaled all Egypt and Greece quest XP rewards.
Added new attack damage FX for all weapons.
Difficulty resistance penalty reduced from -10/-100/-200 to -10/-80/-160.

- Monsters -
Nymph hero added to Hades.
Arachnos hero added.
Maenad elite hero added.
Zombie hero added to Egypt.
Ghost hero added to Egypt.
Tombrot hero added to Egypt.
Sandwraith hero added.
Abyssal Liche hero added to Hades.
Wraith hero added to Orient.
Junglecreep hero added.
Mummy elite hero added.
Desert Hag hero added.
Arachnos hero added to Orient.
Spider hero added to Orient.
Reptillian hero added.

All souls rebalanced.
-Overall soul power level reduced.
-Many souls now have drawbacks.
-Souls have more varied attributes.
-More souls add new skills.
Rebalanced various uniques.
Rebalanced some set bonuses.
New soul inventory graphic.
New forge formula added.
Some higher level versions of new affixes added.
Updated some affix names.
Added rare drop for Ashen elites.
Added rare drop for Vilefire elites.
Fixed Revenant greaves drops.
Fixed Undead Vitality staff drops.
Forge Formulae now display their item type in the description.
Fixed Kinslayer dropping without affixes.
Fixed Morbius, the Ramrod autocast skill.
Souls now have their own drop sound.
Fixed Plaguestone level requirement.
Cleaned up some inconsistent naming schemes.

- Skills -
Reworked weapon mastery bonuses(see forum for details).
Fixed some skills increasing -recharge bonuses.
Fixed Barroc pet Frenzy aura description and attack speed bonus.
Smoke Screen effect is now less dense(better performance and visibility).
Old SV skill effects improved.

*Occult
-Envenom Weapon
Now affects one handed ranged weapons.

-Maculate Wound reworked
Now called Dark Invigoration
Adds flat vitality and bleed damage to weapon attacks.

*Earth
-Earth Enchantment
Radius now increases with levels.

-Barrage
No longer increases energy cost.

*Nature
-Force of Nature
Reduced radius of root aura and slightly increased energy cost.

-Fabrical Tear
Fixed elemental damage being 3x the intended values.

-Briar Ward reworked
Now called Quill Ward.
Summons a ring of quillvines that will attack nearby enemies with melee attacks.

-Stinging Nettle synergy reworked
Now called Poisonous Quills.
Allows the quillvines to fire poisonous quills at distant enemies that damages them and slows their attacks.

*Storm
-Energy Shield
Now has slowed attack speed retaliation.

-Reflection
Damage reflection chance rescaled.

-Squall
Duration rescaled.

-Hail
Energy cost increased.

-Obscured Visibility
Energy cost increased.
Resistance reduction decreased.

*Hunting
-Spear Tempest reworked
Target arc reduced from 360 to 140 degrees.
Cooldown reduced from 10 to 6 seconds.
Max targets reduced from 12 to 6.
+Physical damage increased.

show us some monsters old stats life/dmg/etc... and the new ones

Tq in my opinion surpasses mainstream rpgs like diablo and tl.Sad to say the devs went bankrupt. No updates, no graphics improvements, no nothin. Just an FYI. Grim Dawn is released but in Alpha stages, on Steam. It's made by the same developers, working through Kickstarter. Not too bad, though I'm also looking into Project Eternity from Obsidian as well, that's shaping up to look pretty sweet!

just wanna report something, i duuno if its a glitch, rebalance issue or whatnot, but the 3 medusa bosses are imppossible to beat, i was forced defiler and mix and match skills, i still cant beat them, then i tried to max health via deefiler they manage to halven my life wtf! i have decent gear and farm the hell outta bosses, ill report some as i go along, anyways, thanx again for the mod AMGOZ!

That's odd as I am in legendary mode act 2 now I believe and I was farming the 3 sisters with the Xmax mod so fighting 9 in total. I am a warrior / defend build. My trick is to get 1 to come at you at a time. Sometimes they end up with uber gear which for me is a good thing after I kill them :)

Very good job for this mod , i voted 9/10 . But far too difficult for common people..i know what was your goal with it..but nevertheless the difficulty should be changeant. And i'm not a "casual gamer" i played all the H&S since Diablo 1 ...

It includes Underlord. You do not need to install anything prior to installing the mod.

Thanks for the reply. Well, I installed the mod and played around with it for a bit. I have to say I'm impressed by all the changes and additions, a lot of work has obviously been put into this. I like the new skill trees, the crafting recipes and all the other little touches.

The only thing I'm not so thrilled with is the huge amount of enemies now present. Is there a setting somewhere to reset the number of enemies to normal while keeping the rest of the stuff? I find it makes the game a tad too hard and tedious, not to mention the impact on framerate. Thanks in advance.

Thanks again, that did the trick. I tried creating an account on the forum btw, but it gives a timeout error every time I submit my details.

Now if I could stop dying in 3 seconds at the gorgon queens, lol.

This mod is meant for increased difficulty and challenge. I'm not going to remove one of the main features because a few players find it too hard.
And even then I have released different versions with much weaker enemies for players asking for it.

"What advice? What advice did anyone give me except either tell me things I already knew" If you already knew all he said and applied it your character you would have beaten the bosses without problems a long time ago.

I've removed the comments seeing as the discussion was devolving rapidly and neither sides seems to have gotten anything useful out of it.
