@theflood666

Since this mod does not make use of any episodic material, you only require to have Half-Life 2 and the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer installed.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

@theflood666

I do apologize, but I am not sure to understand what you
mean here.

If I interpret your answer, you are telling me that when
you play this mod, turrets do not fire properly.

If this not what you meant to say, were you trying to
tell me that in other game modifications, turrets do
not fire properly and so it is not related to this
patch at all?

If you experienced bugs/glitches, I would appreciate to have
a bit more information about the nature and the origin of
those problems.

Thank you for your interest.

@theflood666

I have downloaded Riot Act 1.0 and applied my Source SDK 2013 patch to
it and played throughout the entire mod.

I have not encountered any issue.

To address your questions regarding turrets in game,
I can only see possibilities of the following:

---

1.

You forgot to extract skill.cfg from the patch to
your cfg/ folder. This file is needed as it
provides all information of how much damage is
afflicted to enemies.

2.

Console variable, ai_disable, is set to 1. When
you say that turrets do not fire or even attack
enemies, in which case would be you.

During the course of this mod, players never have
the chance to put 'friendly' turrets, which imply
that all turrets in game are enemies. In this case,
it is perfectly normal that they attack you.

If turrets do not attack you, try to see if ai_disable
is set to 1. If so, type the following in the console:

ai_disable 0

Restart the game.

---

If none of these suggestions work, feel free to send me
a PM/email with more in depth precision about your problem
and I will do my best to help you.

Thank you for your interest.

@theflood666

Try to do the following:

Step 1:

Go to your Riot Act (mod) folder

.i.e

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\half-life 2 riot act\

Inside the "half-life 2 riot act", locate a folder named "save"

.i.e

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\half-life 2 riot act\save

Delete everything in this folder except the "save" folder. This way, you
will not lose any saved games.

Re-install Riot act 1.0 and re-apply my Source SDK 2013 patch.

When you have finished, make sure that the file skill.cfg
is in the /cfg folder.

.i.e

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\half-life 2 riot act\cfg\skill.cfg

Step 2:

Make sure you are using the 'Upcoming' beta of the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.

You should also verify the integrity of your game's files.

You can perform this check by doing the following:

- Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.
- Go to the "Local Files" tab.
- Click "Verify Integrity of Tool cache..."
- Wait until game cache inspection is completed.

Step 3:

Restart Steam, launch "Half-Life 2: Riot Act" and load your last
saved game.

I was able to play this mod when I extracted the vpk files and change the Gameinfo.txt. It gave me hard time to get it fixed then.

I tried this patch just because I really wanted to play this mod with my friend in Synergy Mod. The game worked standalone and also in Synergy for now.

Thank you for your great work!
