This is just a demo and everything is work in progress. You can play the first 8 maps. There are other maps on the pack, but they are not finished, therefore, not recommended to be played.
My god man! You should create a mod to have this light effects in every iwad played! You must do this for all the community!!! Please! This is so much candy for my eyes.
yamilisa 100% with you... Most of the time I don't even play Brutal Doom for the weapons or the gore, I play it merely because it makes most maps look way better, the lights in the pickup items, the poison/lava sectors being bright, etc. So tasteful, brilliant.
A little trivia fact for people that are not aware: in the original Doom the toxic poison pits and the lava pits were always bright no matter if the room you were in was dark or not (you can check this trying older ports like Doom Legacy, from around 2002/2003...) It's gzdoom's fault for the game looking darker/pale/uglier like that these days. The original game was NOT like that.
So all of this just goes to show how much care SgtMark really has for Doom, he even replicated some of these features that were already there and were turned off in gzdoom, SgtMark brought it back for us.
Also, I strongly recommend that you always go to Display Options and use the SOFTWARE Light Mode, that feature was implemented by a random anonymous contributor in december 2012, you can even find forum posts of the gzdoom "devs" themselves saying things like "Oh, sorry, that won't be possible" and they go on with their usual over-complicated technical mumbo jumbo words to fool people that don't know better. They tried discouraging the guy from ever finishing his contribution. Luckily, he was able to finish and get it working anyway, but he had to do it all by himself. gzdoom team is a bunch of useless people and they love taking credit for the entire Doom modding scene like they created all of it.
Did you ever plan to add this to the starter pack instead of those other Doom levels you made? You know, I think it's actually legal to combine this mod with FreeDoom 2.
It's a shame this campaign never went out of it's beta state.
I mean, Hell on Earth Starter Pack it's great, but the idea of Recurring Nightmare to remake all D1 and D2 campaings in one .wad was very cool, especially for the old players.
Nonetheless, great work Sarge, you're a pillar of DooM modding !
Its unfortunate that this mod never got finished, Mark should come back and finish it. The switch that raises the bridge in map 3 is none responsive. Pretty much forcing me to have to fly over to the secret area.
Cool
Is hell on eath starter pack lite
i still don't get why you have to power the generator on level 2
Because it will power up the monorail that you will use to reach level 3.
is the full version out

Yo Mark, C O O L bro, couldnt wait for this!! Thanks!!
Seriously, I need this way worse than I wanted v20. I absolutely love new takes on the original levels. Seriously, I hope this comes out soon.
Very nice, I'm getting blue/white checkered missing textures in certain areas.
Run it with Doom II

E1M5 exit switch seems broken, I can't press it.
