The 30th version of Rabid's Crap, a mod that touches on every aspect of Doom and makes it better. Better textures, better effects, cooler monsters and weapons and an expanded set of both. It's also a bit of a tribute to the community, drawing upon the best work that has been done over the course of the last 29 years. Rabid's Crap 30 adds gore from Brutal Doom, Brutal Doom 64 and Beautiful Doom to add damage types and enhance deaths for all base monsters. Credit goes to the creators SgtMarkIV and Jekyll Grim Payne.
Rabid's Crap is the fastest-growing mod for Doom. It runs in GZDoom and is designed for people who would love to see the whole experience overhauled to be more modern and vastly detailed. If you want all your touch-ups in a single package, this is the mod for you, though the file size is pretty big. It has HD and high-res textures, some HD sounds, custom weapons and monsters that appear on base maps and custom wads alike and enhanced effects. For a full list of credit for what's been borrowed for this, please look at the description from previous releases.
Version 30 adds a full suite of damagetypes and gore graphics for the base monsters of Doom and Doom II, derived primarily from Brutal Doom 64. For green Hell Knight gore, some details had to be taken from Brutal Doom proper. For the Cacodemon I drew from BD, BD64 and Beautiful Doom, and for the Wolfenstein soldier I drew completely from Beautiful Doom. Credit for all of that goes to SgtMarkIV and Jekyll Grim Payne.
With this new foundation in place, I'll continue to expand Rabid's Crap. Whatever you expect next, I hope to outdo.
My rating is 0 out of 10. All the stylistics of doom just takes and breaks the knee, and if you also connect and mods with their sprites then the contrast is wild, sprites in pixels but the walls in 4096k resolution.
So on top of all this, I looked at the screenshot and immediately see not sprites of Doom 2, but of Doom 64, so FOR WHICH DOOM MAKES MOD? FOR DOOM 64 OR FOR DOOM 1-2?
Maybe you're new to this. This mod puts Doom 64 sprites in Doom/Doom 2. I know, it's quite mind-blowing.
I'm not sure I understand your attempt at a colloquialism--"the stylistics of Doom just takes and breaks the knee"?
The contrast between pixelated sprites and walls in high resolution will happen with almost any mod that has walls in high resolution, because there are very few mods that raise the resolution of anything else. My objective here is to get the best version of everything that I can find. I'm gradually upgrading all the sprites to higher resolutions, or else replacing them with models or voxels. There are monster models out there already, but they just don't all look good enough. And to be fair, most of the sprites I'm using should not be too pixelated.
There are more versions to come and there's more work to do. But, uh...thanks for the rating.

Testing it right now . Sad that some vanilla nazzeess don't get what modding is all about
I think the mod is amazing. Actually one of the best I’ve ever played. It just needs more weapons
There are only 2 more I'm planning on right now, but plenty more monsters. As it is now, there are 7 weapons in addition to modified versions of all the originals. How many are you looking for/what style weapon am I missing?
I'm glad you like it, anyway. :)
