I think there should be a very easy solution for your problems:
Rename the folder where PFC ist installed in. That is necassary because I made a little mistake with the setup-program.
The folder must named: "ProjectFarCry" - there mustn't any space between the words:
- for example "Project Far Cry" would be wrong.
Because I haven't had much time the last month I could't work on PFC - but in a few days the development of a patch will begin.
I hope I could help you and you will be able to finish PFC. :-)

I have latest drivers, my graphics card is 7600GT, and it is the first level that doesn't work. There is one thing that kinda confused me, when I started the installer, and got to the point that there was the message that I have to point out the \Far Cry\Mods - directory in my computer.
So I browsed the location and put it there like it is supposed to be. But after the installer ran, I looked at the mods directory but all the files were mixed with other mod files!
The installer didn't create a folder for the PFC, so the files and folders were in the mods directory together. So I made a folder for the mod and put all the files in there manually...
I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but if that is the reason, why does the mod videos and the main menu show properly but the level doesn't?
This stupid mistake I made creating the installer is now knowen.
It's necassary to create a folder with the name: ProjectFarCry
Don't know why the installer didn't make this on his own because he should.
Try to relocate all files from the mod into the new folder. Maybe this could solve your problem.
Because you aren't the only one who has problems with that (but not exactly in that way), I'm going to upload a installer were this problem has been fixed.

I've just past the first building and found the beach behind the fence with the three towers.
So far it has been loads of fun. The ferrel is great.
I do have a couple of problems I was hoping I could get need some help with.
1. So far there are no objectives or direction in the game. I started out by an airplane and started looking around. But there is no comms to tell me anything to do next. I'm just wondering around trying to figure it out so far. I was looking at the mods files and it appears that the script is there for it but they aren't showing up in my objectives. Is there a way to fix this?
2. I cannot see my weapons and/or arms and fists in front of me. Only the crosshair. The interesting thing here is that the first time I installed the mod, this wasn't a problem. I could see my guns and fists. But there were others problems then because the files were in the FC folder instead of the MODS folder.
After I made a folder for it in the mods section and reinstalled it there, that's when I can't see my weapons and fists. But other than the problem above everything else seems fine.

I'm hoping I can finish this mod. It is really fun, fast paced, and great to play. Very good ideas. I can't believe I haven't seen more mods using the ferrel power. Good stuff!
Hi, I'm the Co-Developer of PFC.
I think your problem is coming from the "Motion Blur", a nice grafic effect but some videocards doesn't support it very well.
If you got the problem with low FPS after starting a level the first time, try to restart Far Cry after you have arrived the first savepoint (just a few steps straight on ;) ). This should work.
If not, please told me about this!

It didn't have any effect :( From what I saw in the trailer and the pics, I think this might be the best mod for Far Cry ever, if I could get it to work...
PS: The FPS is actually so bad that the screen changes one screen at a time...
I have the mod installed but it doesn't work properly... Everything else works fine the mod loads when I pick it from the mods list in normal game, I can load it and the mod videos run, and main menu appears after them. I go to Campaign and the level loads, but FPS is 0! The game is very slow, I adjusted the graphic settings higher and lower but they had no effect..! I'll try to download the mod again and repeat the installation, but if that doesn't work then I'm clueless what to do!
What do I have to do the make this work? I can play the regular Far Cry with 1280x1024 res, all details high and 4xAA with a steady FPS of 40-60... So I don't think my PC is too weak to handle this mod?
Thanks Arseps for your opinion. I think we haven't created the best mod for Far Cry, Matto4 and other mods are much better, especially our first to maps are very old. ;)
Because it's our first mod not everything works in that way we want it to have. But that you have so much problems with your FPS ... ? That's bad.
Try to update the driver of your graphiccard.
Do you have the problems in the first level? We know about problems with Motion Blur if you start in a Indoor-Map. But in the first level we never got problems during beta testing period.

Thank you very much! I did what you said and now my mission objectives show up. I got to see the pregame vids and cutsceans for the first time too. Nice work! I'm very excited to get to start over and play it from the beginning now.
I'm still trying to figure out how to be able to see my fists and weapons in front of me though.
I've tried playing around with different video settings but nothing has helped. I'll still finish it either way. I don't have to see my fists. It would just add a little more to the coolness factor but it has a lot of that already so it's still good. It's a very fun game. Sort of a prequel to crysis? ;}
You know, this mod brought back life to a great game for me, thanks a lot! Then only thing is, is there any way of changing the falldamage? Sometimes I just get loosend away by the sprint and run straight off a cliff =P
Oh, and try and prone infront of a wildboard, face him and punch him in the face, it's really hilarious. =)
We are proud to intimate that we have nearly finished our work on a patch for our Singleplayer Modification "Project Far Cry" which will update the release version 1.0 to the new version 1.1
In version 1.1 we have fixed a lots of little and a few bigger mistakes. Also we have balanced a few things for a better gameplay than in the previous version.
We are going to release the patch on the 12th September.
