In the local cinemas near you (Or someone else who's not near you).
So basically, this is one of my favorite lil' IMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmersion mods out there that, in case you didn't hear about it, adds a working cinema into New Vegas (Something that have been done for Fallout 3 before, but never for our favorite baby.),
Cinema Fantastique
However, the mod itself, in everything that doesn't come the amazing feature of watching films inside of the game is very barebone, there's nothing to see or hear there. Naturally, when the mod author asked for a voice actor, I was super excited to help and... for whatever reasons, they left it the same barebone. Ama only added the very basic lines to it from all those I've suggested and sent to him, like "Hello", "Welcome to the cinema" and 'Come back any time", so it's still super tofu. Now, I have no problem with it, if that's his vision then so it is, however, it's not how I want it at all, so years of procastination later (Sorry, was busy with the war in my country), I've decided to dust off those original full recordings I did, record one or two new ones, and shamelessly make my own cut.
If you want to see how the mod looks without my edits, check the video from the original mod's upload Youtu.be
And my video uploaded here (Or on my youtube channel) should show you what you'll be getting, but let me tell you in text a "bit" too;
The main thing, now both Lumiere and Cecil have character. Lumiere obviously used to be a different kind of bot before he became the cinematron (He also have a bit of a custom model by me, as well as now his voice edited to sound actually robotic), and it sometimes pours out into his behavior, while Cecil's not exactly fond of his "dream job' and rather wishes he was back in Florida instead. The third voiced character, one of the Cinephiles, is the only one left unchanged in deliver of his lines, coz that's the only edits by Ama I agree with (Original lines were a bit... overly long for a filler jokey fella like him).
Pretty much all of the voiced dialogue in the mod were a total impro, with me just coming up during takes what kind of shackas these guys could be.
Another thing that I added is that I gave a bit of life to the place by adding quite a few new visitors, remaking the original ones to be more interesting, added a new worker, the janitor, who brooms the places between sessions and looks after the snack bar during (He has a playable broom weapon I've made you can steal from him).
There's a couple of other thing like environmental storytelling, a more clear scheldure and AI packages for everyone (The owner and the janitor also change their clothes from time to time. You know, for immmmmmmmersion) and also cinema closes now after Frankenstein is over (To get a feeling that the place and its visitors/owners don't just live and exist for you). Some unnecessary editos to the world were also removed, as well as facegen generated so that you'll never experience any mismatch skin bug.
Big thanks for Ama for his original mod (Check out his page, the dude is real awesome in cool mod ideas) and also gigantic thanks to YaMainManJosh for his Hawaiian shirt mod (I've made simple texture edits so now it's three instead of just one : ) . Oh, and speaking of textures, as always, whenever I tweak some vanilla game texture, I usually use DcCharge's upscaled vanilla textures as a base ).
To use my mod, you'll (obviously) need to download the original, install it, then deactive its esp, install mine and activate my esm. Now you're set, ready, GO, enjoy and Glory to Ukraine, infidels <3.
Post S. Cecil looks the way he appears in the video and the fourth screenshot here, other screens are made with this mod installed (Though only use ghouls, plus deleted the eyes and female textures from it).
