Final fix for Call of Juarez 2 Bound in blood's movies in BW (black & white) and flipped with modern Windows systems (Windows 8+)
You know the old movies bug in "Call of Juarez 2 Bound in blood": they get played flipped and in BW after Windows 7, and they stutter and crash. These movie files fix this annoying issue. It includes a working intro too (which was removed/skipped by other "fixes").
Installation
they must be extracted to "...\Call of Juarez 2 Bound in blood\CoJ2\Data\Menu\Movies\". Make a backup or overwrite old ones if you want. Included an alternative (Techland) version of "Ubisoft_720p.wmv". Rename it accordingly to replace intro logo sequence.
FAQ
Q: Wasn't this already fixed in the Steam/GOG version 1.1.0.0?
A: Yes, but this fix can still be useful if you own the retail CD or Ubisoft Connect (UPlay) edition of the game. If you have the retail CD remember to apply also the official 1.1.0.0 patch.
Q: What's the difference with the other movie fixes for this game I've seen in the past?
A: This one includes the intro (yes, was in English only in the original game) and the movies won't stutter or have audio problems anymore
Enjoy!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀*HINT*
For perfect smoothness, use NVidia Profile Inspector (NVPI) and forcibly disable G-Sync for this game (GSYNC - Application State="Fixed Refresh Rate" or "Disallow").
Then use NotePad to edit "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Call of Juarez 2 Bound in blood\Out\Settings\Video.scr" and add in the bottom column "VSync()" and set your own fps cap with "MaxRefresh(<num>)" (f.e. you can set 60, 90, 120 or 144).
Recommended also from NVPI to set:
1 - Compatibility
Antialiasing - Compatibility (DX1x)=0x000012C1
Antialiasing - Compatibility (DX9)=0x000012C1
and set in Video.scr mentioned above "FSAA(1)"
Also remember to patch the game executable for >2GB... (there are many tools for this, like "4GB Patch NTCore" for example).
