fan mod for Legacy of Kain based on Soul Reaver, Crystal Dynamics 1999 adventure title for the playstation, PC, and DreamCast.
Level progression is somewhat straightforward with a few areas to be revisited.
Soul Reaver is the main weapon. Variations of the reaver replace the original doom weapons.Also, players get the Soul Reaver right in the second level, unlike the playstation game where you spend a good portion at first without the signature weapon.

Although this mod is based on an open world game, it still functions in a linear format. Earlier locations can and still are occasionally revisited however.
Players will sometimes have to shift into the Spectral Realm in order to walk through gates as a ghosty wraith. Although this may come across as gimmicky because I'm not a master coder, so I don't know how to have the player teleport any moment, warp gates are the way in and out of the material realm, rather than a selectable inventory menu. Soorrryyyy......
-Soul Reaver sword replaces the shotgun. Close combat with the reaver gives the player health and projectile reaver energy. Alt-fire launches a TK blast from the reaver.
-Simple TK replaces the pistol.
-This mod takes a few liberties from the original storyline.
Raziel gets the Reaver right out of the abyss, in MAP02
Fire Reaver replaces the SuperShotgun
Water Reaver replaces the chaingun
Earth Reaver replaces the rocket launcher
Spirit Reaver replaces the plasma rifle.
Sunlight Glyph replaces the BFG9000.

I still have to draw sprites for Zephon, Melchiah, Dumah ,and a few other enemies. I also have to implement a few more cutscenes. There are only really two cutscenes that play out in this mod so far. The rest of the gameplay is straightforward and self explanatory, especially to any fans of the original Kain games.
Anyway there's still a lot to do and fix up. I don't know why some of Kain's animation frames don't show up in the last cutscene (Map13 Time Caverns), also I got rid of the hooves and claws on Raziel and Kain cause I personally am not a huge hoof fan. I like humanoid hands and feet and so these characters now have humanoid hands and humanoid feet.
