Balance Mod + UI changes. Restores the Balance from The Settlers II (1996) Beneficial for the AI and the player. Overall the game gets easier.
Because of that, the AI on Easy difficulty get some features unlocked from the harder difficulties, like ..
.. rebuilding roads, higher sawmill limit, etc.
WORKS WITH "THE SETTLERS II: 10th ANNIVERSARY" AND "THE SETTLERS II: 10th ANNIVERSARY - VIKINGS"
The game-play gets smoother. Less congestion and higher efficiency of some buildings, restored from "The Settlers II" from 1996 (not every building - the woodcutter's hut I left unchanged).
Original menu colors and symbols get restored from the CD Version.
If you want play multiplayer, eg. via GameRanger, all players should have the same version of K. Balance Mod installed.
Changelog:

- K.Patch 1.0e - cleaned up, removed some of the mods that caused conflicts with the new WIDESCREEN FIX
All of the 1.0 versions are compatible with each other. That means that you can still play in multiplayer when someone has an older version of K.Patch 1.0.
ToDo:
- Change the name to Balanace Mod completely. Old K.Patch components were moved to the newer mod called WIDESCREEN FIX
Nice addition!
My game install dir doesn't get recognized - I can't install this patch. Any idea what's the issue? Thanks!

Which version of the game are you using? If it is not the GOG Version, have you applied the 11757 Patch?
I don't know why it recognizes "The Settlers II - Vikings" as the installation location, the installer must have read this location from the registry. It throws this error "Wrong Path .." as it does not find this file: "/bin/s2dng.exe".
You can try to enter the Game-path manually.
* I had the GOG version installed before I found the one with Vikings expansion included. Maybe that's why it tries to go with that path (if it reads it from the registry). Nevertheless, upon changing the path manually, the correct path won't get recognized.
Create a blank text file under "/bin", and rename it to: "s2dng.exe". This should trick the installer.
I tested my installer with the GOG Version and CD Version, and it worked.
Worked like a charm! Thanks
