INSTALLATION:
*** Delete all previous versions of Global War ***
Unzip the file in the Mods folder of Men of War. If it does not exist, create it and then unzip the mod there. Start Men of War, go to Option, then go to the MOD tab. There look for the mod in the left list, select it and use the arrow to move to the right list. Press Apply.

hello im your fan..when i play version 4.0 mod in snow map...when i had good chance to win (german tank support) vs ai ( america)...i had 1 kingtiger, 3 tiger (2 tiger gruppen support),7 mid tank, 5 light tank, 8 75mm cannon, 7 35mm cannon, many mg tripod and mortar, about 90 men...suddenly ai (america)had make burst to many tanks and army to attact me(not including p51 plane bom my army every 2 minutes)....am very sock!!!..all my unit had been wipes up in 45 minit..im dead meat like ai had a cheats code!!...please fix...
There is no way to fix it, cause thats the problem with the battlefield mode it gets very difficult in late game even in easy mode. A friendly tip, try to end the game as early as possible as you might get overwhelmed by the late game Ai support and weapons, also try to keep on attacking the enemy, it is not advised to dig in and wait for late game, unless you fancy a challenge.

plus to bomb you every 2 minutes they surely had the middel map point, which gives the AI a huge boost together with the others on its side. The air force is the best weapon of USA, but you should be able to win this game anyway with all that stuff.
Another error you did is that you spammed tanks. Never spam expensive tanks like that, you could easily win with a king tiger on one side, a tiger or tigergruppe on the other one and some infantry support. There is nothing which can stop you except for bombing run but you can easily avoid them moving your tanks as soon as you spot their planes so the bombs will miss you, or deploying a lot of FlaK 38.
I will rework the AI in future, because I received a some reports where they told me it is far too aggressive, but not any time soon.
Anyway I'm proud because you managed to recreate Battle of the Bulges perfectly :D

Really greate mod! It is the real alternative for the CoH modding!
But... as usual for beta projects some sad from a bug.
US paratroopers in the second tutorial totally disappear from the game world after loading saved game. I have not yet gotten paratroopes in a normal game with US faction, to say, is it only a tutorial bug or a bug with paratroopers entirely.
I like paratroopers very much in the CoH, so I would like to see them bugless here. :)

Hmm... I just have found such behaviour now in the Assault Squad, in the SirHinkel's skirmish Missions. There my rangers have disappeared after loading of a saved game either.
It seems that some custom-made (non-official) units don't be saved properly during game savings.
Anyway i have noticed this behaviour before.

Yes. Such as in the SirHinkel's skirmish Missions for the Assault Squad.
There rangers are called to a field at once in a halftruck.
When they disappear being in a halftruck, just their models diappear, but they are able to be unloaded from a halftruck.
But when they disappear standing on the ground, no way to find them after it.
So I may cobclude that such custom-made units don't disappear totally from a game after loading of a game-save, but just their links with and interaction with the game world become broken.

If just the model disappears then it might be a rendering engine bug, not a save bug. Maybe the engine fails to load the model after restoring the game.
If it would be just a rendering bug, they, standing on the ground out from a vehicle, would be able to be selected by mouse rectangle. And other units would be able to interact with them (enemy units would be able to see and shoot them.)
Also a squad icon would not disappear from the icons list, if it is just a rendering bug.
Yup they do disappear but i am not sure what went wrong here.

PARATROOPER BUG: I can't fix it, it is a known bug of Men of War, sometimes units just disappear but I can't fix it since it is a savegame bug, another guy told me about that in a previous version, but I was never able to reproduce the bug myself. Sadly MoW is full of bugs, another bug I had was the game crashed after a save game because if you use THREADS in your mission triggers the game isn't able to load the save properly and crashes.
UPDATE: I've found out what causes the bug. I suspect it is something related to the function I use to spawn an air dropped team: to do that you have to clone an entity called paratrooper_attach to which I had attached a paratrooper unit. Maybe the game is not able to save correctly entity spawned in this way, since you have to use a different function (PLACEMENT instead of WAYPOINT, the last one works only for entity which you can control, so no crates or stuff like those). I'm sure it is not something related to custom units since I loaded a savegame with both Waffen-SS and Fallschirmjager on the map and just the paratroopers disappear. It happens with all paratrooper units.
Unfortunately there is not much I can do about it, because I can't fix game engine bugs.

Anyway, I've just tried to load the map and it works fine for me.
Its working for me at 1.17.5 but when i got tech point, i didn't got a new unit in the list. Why?
It depends on how many points you have and the faction. For example to unlock a panzer iv you need 20 tank tech points. Have you played the tutorials?
And how many need to unlock a new infantry unit?
Ah. Nothing. The mod working for me. :D In this options (tech points) the mod is awsome and better than older! :D

You must update your current version of men of war to 1.17.5 in order to play the mod.
You need to update MoW to the latest patch (1.17.5)

thanks for getting back, this mod looks great been trying to play this for a week now but cant get it to work. i updated my version of men of war to the 1.17.5.1 and re downloaded the mod but in a separate folder i dont no if im unzipping or extracting them right
You have to run the .exe file and extract the mod in the Mods folder inside Men of War main folder (if it odes not exist create it). Your folder structure should now be Men of War\Mods\Global War Release. Then open the game and navigate in the option menu until you reach the MOD tab. In the left list you should see Global War. Move them to the right list with the arrow button of the interface. Be sure it's the only active mod.
