The official v1.0 release... From Ashes We Rise is a continuation mod for Ashes of Erebus (Fall From Heaven mod series) that adds 3 new civilizations at the same caliber and quality of the original FFH civs. Each new civilization has custom art work, 3D models, mechanics, and play styles. Gerudo features Ganondorf and Nabooru as its leaders; Alagaësia features Eragon Shadeslayer as its leader, and Noldor features Fingolfin and Fëanor as its leaders.
How To Install-
Step 1: Extract the downloaded zip folder named From Ashes We Rise v1.0
Step 2: Place the now extracted Ashes of Erebus folder into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword\Beyond the Sword\Mods... If you are not using the steam version or you have installed Civilization 4 somewhere else, just place the folder into the Beyond the Sword mod folder where it is located for you.
Step 3: Apply any necessary fixes below, start and enjoy the mod!
IMPORTANT FIXES!
From Ashes We Rise v1.0
Icon fix for steam-
1. Change Windows locale to English (if its not already);
2. Right-click Civ4:BtS in Steam, click "Properties" -> "Betas" tab -> choose "original_release_unsupported";
3. Set both FromAshesWeRise.exe (in AoE mod folder) and Civ4BeyondSword.exe (in BtS folder) to run as administrator and under Win7 compatibility mode;
4. Run the game using FromAshesWeRise.exe. Problem solved!
Animations not working in Civilopedia-
1.Change the graphics settings in the advanced->options menu while in game to high. Everything else can be set to whatever you need, as long as that one setting is high animations will work.
Units reverting to original models while in game-
1. Have frozen animations turned off (not checked) in the advanced-> options menu.

I am considering an update to improve upon the performance for this mod, and for some general bug fixes for the game crashing. I may also add another new civilization to the mod.. just something I have an open mind to do in the near future.
