I learned some time ago, that professional game developers need to have a game demo ready to play within 6-weeks, or it just isn't worth it, of all the bare-bones, primary features, and that's something that stuck with me. So, I gathered my notes, put my shoulder to the grindstone, and here's the super-pre-alpha demo.
This is a stripped down version of what I hope to accomplish, eventually, I hope to have 12+ zany characters to choose from, with an elegant start screen. However, for now, they are just simple capsules, with the choice of 4-colors. 1-4 players can play, with either a game controller, or keyboard, and the other places will be filled by AI players
I'll eventually add dice, and several new interesting boards to play on, but for now, there is only one simple board, with most of the play-features, I'm going for. The current game, has only 6-simple minigames, to give players an idea of what the game is about, but the goal will be to have somewhere in the range of 80-100 random minigames, so that the variations are extreme.
It's not much, it looks and feels OK, and there are about a handful of bugs, but for now, this feels like a great starting point. All of my game elements are present, and the core of the game is here to try out. I hope you enjoy it!
