With the release of Star Wars: Rogue One worldwide, and the holidays creeping in, we wanted to release this as a present to the Battlefront II modding community! What's contained in this pack is a map based on Scarif and a bunch of models based on the weapons, infantry, and buildings of the latest movie.
This is a modders resource, however one could just munge what is there already and test it out in-game. Credits are to be given to the Designated Days modding team. We hope you have fun using these assets to create your own version of the battle depicted in the movie.
Icemember was solely responsible for the creation of all of these assets and I, RevanSithLord, merely gave him reference photos from various sources. Some things are not 100% replicated, although they are as similar to the visuals from the movies based on all of the art and the screencaps as well as highly detailed action figures and sculptures.
After we both have seen the movie, we might move to make new versions more accurate to the film itself. We wish you a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, whatever it is you celebrate!
Same way of installation?
These are the source files. Do you know how to munge maps with the BF2 mod tools? I'll munge up the map after the movie and upload that and then yes, it will be the same way of installation. If you don't know how to mod the game, this download would be useless to you. It's intended for modders, so I'll munge the preview Scarif map for people to try out later today.
So how do you install this?
Go to google and search for star wars battlefront modding or Gametoast.
I munged this and you can download it here:
Mediafire.com (14mb 7z)
or
Mediafire.com (34mb zip)
Install like any other released map. Remember that this is a tech demo and just allows you to see the assets in action; it's not balanced for gameplay.
EXCELLENT ! You're a living god, this is awesome !!
Thanks CT-108. Have fun!
Hope you guys end up adding the Tank Troopers as well, awesome work.
Their helmet models look to be the one the Shoretrooper use. A simple reskin of the helmet should be suffice especially since the model is white.
Nah man, the ones the the Tank Troopers use are much more flat-faced, as well as being a fair bit wider.
Very nice assets pack, thank you!
You're welcome. May the Force be with you, Delta!
Will do our best to add the Tank Trooper and its Assault Tank.
where do you get the modding tools? i want to try out modding
From this site, just search em SWBF2 modtools or gametoast. But Google is your friend.
I ran the map but there were no infantry skins...
Did I miss something, are there no skins? because I thought it said there were Infantry skins
NVM it was supposed to be clone wars not galactic civil war
I managed to get the sides into GCW proper with my version. I'll get that version uploaded here asap, but it'll be extremely alpha stage.
Hello I have been trying to install this mod since dec 20th and i cannot get anywhere. Please help
you need to munge the map before you can play it.
meaning
To munge a map basically means you need to compile the maps using VisualMunge, provided by the ModTools. This is not an actual 'mod' release. It was meant for modding resources. If you don't know how to use the ModTools or where to get them, here's this: Gametoast.com It's the BEST possible resource to answer questions you may have with modding. If you so wish, I could munge a basic playable version for people here, but it'll be my edition of our mod's map (but I have all the same resources he does, so visual consistency will be there). And thanks to SkinnyODST for sending me a more movie accurate Shoretrooper. I've been having upload problems lately, so there's no telling when I'll be able to upload the munged version of the assets.
Will this mod feature custom sides with epic scarif rebels and shore troopers?
Can I use the map in my mod?

so are these assets going to be released as a balanced standalone map or nah?
HOW TO INSTALL IT?
This mod looks awesome, someone can help me to download it? I really don't understand ... Or there is today an easier way to install this mod?
Does this have a Death Trooper model? A friend and I are making a Rebels sides mod, and need one.
I love as far back as 2020 people are still asking questions about this...
People should read the readme. I did release Death Troopers and Shoretroopers as separate but they're highly outdated by now and you can find much better movie accurate/show accurate ones now.
