Its a pain for Linux users to use an exe file.

Hey there, tried the mod but on the loading of the second map in chapter 1 the game is crashing for no reason, couldn't find a solution.

Despite these issues, Dane Chronicles is a well-crafted early version of a mod that is definitely worth checking out for fans of Half-Life 2.
