Original Greekmod ReadMe:
Introduction and Changes
This mod makes some factions, particulary the greek factions a bit more histrocial accurate in terms of territories. It gives the greek city states cities in all parts of the world, the macedonians got northern greece and byzantium and the seleucid empire got the provinces at the edge of the map and some others aswell. Parthia got pushed to the desert east of the caspian sea and carthage got some more settlements, like carthago nova. Also some new settlements were added to make it a bit more accurate.
Other changes are: Levy pikemen for thrace, cataphract archers (got new texture to show they are heavily armoured units) replace the persian cavalry of parthia and other new textures as well as overall unit stat changes. Egypt got a whole overhaul, which now makes them fully greek with some egyptian elite units and a barbarian one, better reflecting the Ptolemaic Kingdom of that time. Also 2 new settlements have been added to the seleucid empire. Another change, is that rome is now a single faction, instead of the vanilla four factions.
It also changes some temples and other buildings, by adding public order bonuses from Barbarian Invasion to this mod.
Installation
This mod will not overwrite or damage any of your files, since it makes use of the -mod:greekmod command.
Just unzip the file into your Rome Total War main directory (where the RomeTW.exe is) and then go to your steam library -> Rome Total War -> properties -> set launch options and put this in there -mod:greekmod (if you use -show_err then just attach -mod:greekmod after that with 1 space inbetween, like this: -show_err -mod:greekmod)
If you have the disc version go to your Rome Total War shortcut -> properties and put -mod:greekmod at the end of the target line, after the quotation marks, which should look like this:
"[your installation path]\Rome Total War Gold\RomeTW.exe" -mod:greekmod
Deinstallation
Just remove the -mod:greekmod from your launch options or your shortcut and (optionally) delete the greekmod folder in your Rome Total War main directory.
