This is the first half of War in Heaven. We are tremendously grateful to all of you for your help, support, and advice. We hope that you enjoy this campaign as much as we have enjoyed the creative process. This really has been a labour of love. We owe special thanks to our fellow modders and to the Source Code Project and FreeSpace Upgrade Project teams for their patience and generosity.
Definitely gotta check it out. Thanks!
I gotta admit, as much as I loved Age of Aquarius and the amount of tense action both it and this mod deliver, I liked the former more. Not just because of the voice acting, it's more the fixiation on two or three main characters, all of them speaking in Microsoft text-reader about moral issues of killing and socialising with each other while there's a war going on. It felt a little out of place to have a dialogue tree in a space combat simulator. I was also a little disappointed not to play as Samuel, just after starting to really relate to the Character I get a new one I didn' like a lot at first. People don't really want to hear a rookie whining about war they CAN relate with game, they want the grizzled veteran they WANT to relate with. Other than that, the professional execution of this mod is just amazing again, the hard work you put into is definitely worthy of at least a special spot in Valhalla/Heaven/Nirvana/Afterlife of your choice. I am still playing it right now, but I cannot possibly wait for the ending any longer, so I hope that Part two is done anytime in the next few years.
If you're into FreeSpace mods and haven't played this, shame on you
