The first release of the mod. It is content complete but I cannot issue any guarantees regarding bugs or perfection, so it is deemed an Alpha. The version counter will reset to 1.0.0 for Full Release.
EDIT:
PSA: I've received reports of some of the AWARD Weapons not being disabled properly, so that's something I'll patch whenever I can get to the next version, but for now, I recommend users do one of the following:
1. If you have Anakin's Remaster installed, use Remaster settings to disabled AWARD weapons.
2. Create a new profile when playing on Post-Endor content that doesn't have AWARD weapons on it.
RETURN:
Finally, it is releasing. Something is, at least, before the Fall School semester here in the U.S. starts back up.
What was initially conceived as a mod to introduce X1's Remnant to Battlefront 2 using assets from FRD's cancelled game gradually evolved into a general post-Endor mod. Battlefront II: Expanded - The Post-Endor Era strives to provide an expansion to the base game with new models, vehicles, weapons, and maps representing the different factions of that time. I cannot stress enough, however, that there have been creative liberties taken to flesh out content using assets that already existed or were easily modified. This is for the sake of fun, and for gameplay.
With the eventual aim of covering as many factions and unique bits of content as possible, the initial release of Battlefront II: Expanded - The Post-Endor Era will feature four major factions:
Additionally, a couple minor factions will be present on a select few maps and modes. These include the following:
The Post-Endor era will show up on available maps differently at this time depending on what factions are available for play. Presently, these are:
Available/supported maps in the first release will include:
Not everything in the first release will be what I want it to be or what it should be. There are more maps I want to support, more units and heroes to add, more factions, more of everything. There will be bugs, imperfections, and components in dire need of improvement or tweaking. However, I feel it is for the best that at the least some version of the mod is made available for play at this time, as I will have little time to work on it in coming months.
Should I have the time to return to this in the future, I have many wishes for the development of the mod:
However, none of this is set in stone and is always subject to change.
This list is extensive, and because of that, I may have missed some people. Please, please, please, if you haven't been credited properly or you know someone who hasn't been credited properly, contact me and let me know so I can at least update the credits on the ModDB page, as well as the next release's readme.

Just tried it on a few maps : AWESOME is the word !
New cool sounds (AT-PT walking sounds ripped from...Shadows of the Empire?), death animations, weapons and vehicles, which aren't just model swaps but REAL new, more powerful vehicles than their older counterparts (TIE bomber to name it, 4 seats, each weaponized).
The TTK and Battlefront feel were not touched, it feels like everything could be in the base game, no custom icons that are totally different from vanilla ones, same for weapon and vehicle namings, everything feels in its place.
I say, just a few tweaks would be welcome : normal bladed units (Jedi Knight, Royal Guard) should have their full combo...
Dark Trooper P3 should be way more resistant, OR more powerful. Right now he's just a taller target than others.
This for balance purpose.
On Tatooine Dune Sea, more ground vehicles would be welcome if there are some pictured from this era :)
Although after all this, one question remaine on my part : will you one day try to get in touch with the Yuuzhan Vong and Krayt's sith order parts ??
And another one : will you be able to integrate all of the eras you already developed to every map? Or will it stay like this? Either way, I love what I just played
thank you for your kind words!
absolutely, as I'm able to, I want to get to covering more legends content, including both Thrawn and the Yuuzhan Vong, at least in some way.
when it comes to the units, the melee units probably won't be changed besides a health buff, maybe. same with the Dark Trooper.
and as for maps or GC, in the future who knows? depends on what I can get to.
Nah, de rien :)
I really love it, the fact that it's still really battlefrontesque is a huge pro for me ^^
Oh by the way, where is the TIE Viper coming from exactly? I didn"t find it on Wookieepedia :o
And...Ah damn, I LOVE it, EU deserved to reach Battlefront 2 so much ! :) I'd love to have a playable AT-HAT ! And its AT-ST counterpart. I really hope you could make it to this point, you already did much by the way :)
A health buff would already be good to me ^^" It's your mod anyway :)
Okay, I'll see in the future, but I'll follow your mod from now on :)
It appears to be loosely based on this variant: Starwars.fandom.com
Otherwise it looks like a new design. Not even sure you could call it a TIE design at this point because I clearly see three engines.
Yeah I thought about the Hunter but it doesn't look like it, it's totally another ^^ Ayway I like its design
Eh...I'd alter the Dark Trooper's weapons too tbh. At the very least I'd replace one of the blaster weapons with a rocket launcher, since multiple sources depict Dark Troopers utilizing them. For the sake of balance I'd probably use the vanilla Super Battle Droid's wrist rocket as a basis.
Maybe even have some of the units change based on the map? Like...say on Kashyyyk you get a flamethrower trooper as the Imperial Remnant, but on Mustafar (where an incendiary weapon would be kinda redundant), you get...I dunno, a Shadow Trooper instead?
So the TIE Raptor will be making an appearance as well? I have to say, I'm in love with your Raptor Trooper!
This, in complete honestly, is probably one of my favourite mods I've played. I have a massive soft spot for Imperial Civil War content (Thrawn's Revenge is my favourite mod for Empire at War), and this just hits me right in there. Everything is so, artistically done ;). I played through every era and got a good feel for a good few of the maps so I'll keep it brief.
Of all the maps I've played I'll mention one thing that I noticed that is incredibly minor.
The plate on the back of the Mustafarian flickers in some lightings, which can be distracting but it's minor since it's just for hunt
The only thing I truly want from this is simply more of it, it's so wonderfully done and the balance is on par with the "All classes are important, so none will triumph over the other" ideology which helps because I love the designs of every unit you put into the mod. I really want to see Empire of the Hand and maybe if your mod'll stretch that far, the Galactic Alliance. For now though, the scope of what you're doing is incredibly impressive, and I love every bit of it, from the sounds to the models to the details like the custom command post insignias, it all meshes so wonderfully and creates a stunning experience I haven't truly felt since the days of old playing with Dark Times II for the first time.
I am absolutely looking forward to the future of this mod, I cannot applaud it enough.
Edit/P.S.:
Could we get a Galactic Conquest with this mod? I feel like that'd be amazing on top of everything else.
Edit 2:
NVM I fixed the award weapons, apparently I had my award weapons script off
However some people might not have the script so it's worth noting that the award weapons in the mod are super buggy, they don't overwrite custom blasters but do overwrite pistols and can cause errors especially with the CSA and Black Sun.
ah darn, totally missed the award weapons bug. definitely something I intend on fixing in the next version.
glad you otherwise enjoyed it!
I did! Im excited to see all that comes next, but I’d also like to ask some questions if I may. These are all about the direction of the mod and what you plan to do with it, so you can feel free to keep some features secret if you think they’d make a good surprise.
- Will all the eras introduced in this mod (Hunt for Zsinj, X1’s War, Corporate Sector Conflict, alongside the new ones coming with the Pentastar, Empire of the Hand, and Zann Consortium), be playable on every map?
- Will the Imperial Remnant as a whole show up or are these covered by the warlord subfactions?
- Will there be a Galactic Conquest, and if so will it be restricted to the New Republic with a randomised battle with the different warlord factions?
- Will we get the Zann Consortium as a gamemode for Galactic Civil War as well, given the fact they show up in after the Battle of Yavin?
- Will there eventually be support for every marvel4’s conversion pack map? Are there plans for more map support in general?
- Will we see more warlord subfactions like the Duskhan League, Eriadu Authority, Crimson Command, etc?
- Lastly, will the next release be more of a progress report with a bunch of new features for playtesting or will it be a more rounded out release with complete implementation without bugs?
Sorry if the questions were too overbearing, im just really excited about the mod and am wondering all about what kinda content we’ll be receiving in the future. Keep up the good work, and especially good luck! Modding can be incredibly difficult and sometimes thankless, so know all of us appreciate the work, and the fact you’re tackling probably the hardest era of Star Wars. Been interested in your modding career since Mustafar Hunt =)
I second this request, the main question being which faction of the Imperial remnant is going to go up against the New Republic? Will it be X1's faction? The Dark Empire of the reborn Emperor? Thrawn/Empire of the Hand? Zsinj? Maybe just take aspects of all the various Imperial Remnants and combine them into one for the sake of simplicity/variety?
Hey so I think I found a bug - I used the orbital strike from the commander of the imperial units on the death star... and the game crashed and wouldn't let the mouse go, so I couldn't close the game until I logged out of the computer
hm, never experienced that before. is it reproducible?
I had the game freeze on...I can't remember the name of the map, it was one of the custom ones, while playing Corporate Sector VS Zsinj after spawning in as the Corporate Sector's hero on that map. It's the one where the Corporate Sector has access to those gray tandem seat speeds. Haven't checked to see if it's reproducable yet.
Oh, and another thing, an error rather than a bug: in order to play Space Assault with the New Republic VS X1 (Space Hoth and Space Tatooine in Instant Action), you have to select "1-Flag CTF" when selecting the mission in setup (though once you actually play it, it's an assault mission).
Lmk if you can reproduce that. At the moment, there's only one truly custom map by me, Daermor, the others are just supported.
And yeah, I noted that bug in the release article. Not worth uploading a whole new file for, so it is what it is for now.
After further testing, I've confirmed that spawning in as the Corporate Sector's hero on Daermor does cause the game to freeze a few seconds after doing so. It's happened every single time I've attempted to reproduce the result too, so it's a serious bug.
Never experienced that before and I can't reproduce it. Only theory I have is it might be awards weapon related, so try disabling awards weapons if you have Anakin's Remaster installed. Tell me if that fixes it.
Yep, that fixed it. I wasn't running the most up-to-date version of the Remaster so I had to download that real quick before I could test it.
So many good mods are releasing right now :D
But honestly good work, we needed a post-endor era for a long time!
i was playing this mod for 5 hours straight today, definitely on my top 10 mods already! i really do appreciate it when mods include recoil and improves the AI's aim. Plus the custom maps included are also really great! i have seen them before in elite squadron but it fits really well in this mod in my opinion. i love the variety among the units and that the rebels are actually very fun to play as, cool units and skins. i love how chaotic the mod is please dont change that i think it's perfect as it is. there are some sounds missing or could be improved like the Dark Trooper's repeater. right now it's not as fun to play as him just cause the sound is missing or too low, i dont know which it is. i have not encountered any bugs or crashes as well which is pretty great. i'm absolutely looking forward to the future of this mod, the pollish , the amount of maps playable and especially now that Bf1 maps compability are also planned. great work my dude, keep it up!
On another note, one thing I was pleasantly surprised be was the presence of "heroes" in space battles with unique ships. Maybe that could be expanded upon to either have different heroes for different battles or to randomize like that one space battle in the Dark Times mod (where the Rebel hero would either be Wedge Antilles or Han Solo and the Imperial hero would either be Boba Fett or Darth Vader)?
Love the animations. Amazing work. What part of legends is this mod based on?
Also My game crashed when I switched guns as IG droid.
Great mod, with something other than clone wars content.
But it seems that this mod is not working correctly with Anakins SWBFII Remastered patch. The unit description Text in the class selection screen is missing.

I haven't had any major bugs but just some little ones like the lightsabers for certain heroes dont make sound when they strike anything. The character in the HUD is also a little too close in third person but other than that, fantastic mod :)
Just gotta say. Downloaded this mod earlier this evening, played a few battles, and it is fantastic. The E-wing and TIE Viper are especially well done. It'd been a while since I played Battlefront, but this made me realize how much I enjoyed the space battles. Well done! Keep up the good work!
Hey it´s a very awesome mod you created there. I read that you want to put the Zann Consortium i would love it if u do that bc its my fav faction in Empire at War and seeing Tyber Zann in Battlefront 2 would for me pretty awesome. Thanks for the mod i love it.

I put the folders into Addon, but only Chandrilla (with vanilla and New Jedi Order sides, and it crashes)) shows in the Instant Action menu (even though I selected them in the easy loader mod launcher.) (apologies for the repeat post, I forgot to log in when posting first)
I've never used a ModLoader before, so I'm not sure if that's the problem or not.
What I do know is that if your put the zBF2ExpandedUniverseCorpSec and zBF2ExpandedX1W folders in Addon and the 1.3 patch is properly installed, you should be good to go. This is the first I've heard of your kind of issue.
After uninstalling and re-installing it, it's working now - and omg it's such a cool mod!
Glad to hear!
PSA: I've received reports of some of the AWARD Weapons not being disabled properly, so that's something I'll patch whenever I can get to the next version, but for now, I recommend users do either of the following:
1. If you have Anakin's Remaster installed, use Remaster settings to disabled AWARD weapons.
2. Create a new profile when playing on Post-Endor content that doesn't have AWARD weapons on it.
How am I supposed to drag and drop the remaining four folders into an addon folder for Saleucami, Mustafar: Laboratory, Kashyyyk: Jedi Enclave,
and Chandrila if I never installed the mod? These instructions make little sense to me.
Hello, I love this mod. But I don’t really like the location of the camera, is it possible to somehow change the position of the camera so that it is in the middle, as in the classic battlefront. Thanks in advance for your reply.
Exactly my biggest complain about it :/
