Playable demo of build 42 of AOM:RE, does not need to be patched or installed on top of anything, can be ran with "hl.exe -game aomre"
Delete the included config.cfg as it has my control scheme and some strange options in it.
The 6+ month wait for some meager updates does bring my mood down a little bit, but I as a man have to fulfill certain responsibilities to family and friends first, but my passions and art do come right after that in my heart.
I'm eager to refine this and smooth the rough edges out until it's very satisfying to play, however, what you'll find here is plenty of rooms and hallways that still need that 'broken in' and 'lived in' feel. My method of map development is congruent to blocking out areas in basic form and finding their purpose, dressing, detail and overall feel later. There are definitely some developer textures and unfinished rooms here and there. If you comment on something I already addressed I will see your comment but I'm not likely to respond to it.
I did everything within reason to playtest and refine it before release to make sure there's no gamebreakers, you can expect the end of the playable mod at the area with the river in officeb.bsp. There are a handful of unconnected maps in the package though.
I'm sure something unexpected will pop up right after I hit the upload button though, it's happened before.
EDIT: Yes, my personal config.cfg was included, please delete it unless you like to jump with the scroll wheel.
So whats special about build 42
Demo is alright, its not bad. I did find some missing textures in the walls, but this is just a demo, so its ok. I hope you can keep making it.
