Description
NOTE: This file has been updated to version 1.06.3, which was recently pushed to Steam. This modified executable allows you to select any resolution your graphics adapter actually supports within the game, including full HD etc. The game interface works just fine with the modified resolutions. I have only tested this mod for the Steam version. To install, simply replace your old executable. Preferably you would create a backup before doing so. See Description for technical details.

is it possible to make it for the old retail version? The exe-file doesn't work with my german retail-version :-(
have also looked into the exe file with an hex-edit, but i'm to stupid for that *g*

i have found the right part in my exe and uploaded the modified file for the Retail-Version, for download see AoW Download-section ;-)
Unfortunately neither this version nor the Disc version of the resolution patch works on the GOG.com version of Direct Action just released the other day, it just gives an error message and the game refuses to launch. I don't suppose there's a chance of a GOG version of the resolution being made?
A fixed version of the GOG EXE has been uploaded currently awaiting approval.
For the time being you can head over to gog.com/forum/act_of_war_gold_edition/ widescreen_169_for_direct_action/ (remove the space, ModDB thought the link contain "words commonly associated with spam") where a dropbox download is available.

when i try to start the patch.exe i always get an error
"The program can not be started because dxerr9ab.dll is missing on the computer. Reinstall the program to correct the problem."
already re-installed and updated DirectX, but still getting this error. can you guys help me out with that?
