ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR - F-16C with full cockpit
About:
A special version of the F-16C that contains a fully (albeit non-interactive) cockpit. The cockpit itself was extracted from an unused aircraft found in ACZ's game files then modified and added to the assets of a F-16C, replacing its default cockpit model.
Required tools & Usage:
-Have Python version 3.8.5 or newer installed in your computer.
-You will need to have/download the tools/scripts and follow the steps from the Importing aircraft from Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War tutorial to add this file to the game.
Notes:
-This mod is only compatible with the NTSC-US version of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War (SLUS-21346).
-The original coordinates of the cockpit-view camera placed it outside of the cockpit so they were manually adjusted until I felt that the camera was in the "right" spot. This manual adjustment was done with PCSX2 keyboard users in mind but not for users that play flight arcade/simulators games using a gamepad or a flight stick. So if you use a gamepad/flight stick when using this special version of the F-16C and notice that the camera goes out of bounds or reveal non textured/modeled parts of the cockpit please let me know.
-To edit the cockpit texture and convert it o the format ACZ uses you will need to follow the first two steps of the Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies - Texture file creation and conversion tutorial.
Then use the GIM injectors included in the pack to add your custom textures to the DAT files (be it cockpit or livery).
-Livery and cockpit GIM textures must use a resolution of 512x512. If your livery use a custom canopy tint color then you will need to edit the small section circled in the "custom canopy color" image so this color change can be also reflected on the canopy when using the cockpit-view camera.
