Infogrames was founded in 1983 and is one of the largest entertainment software companies in the world. The company has many licenses, ranging from Alone in the Dark, to Major League Baseball to Warner Bros. Loony Tunes. They have published & developed games such as Neverwinter Nights, Alone in the Dark, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Deer Hunter. In 2003, Infogrames officially changed the name of its business operations to Atari, the well-known brand name it had acquired some years previous. Infogrames Entertainment is still the international holding company for Atari operations, but game productions by the company are now released under the Atari corporate brand.

EA have not found any alternative to the dying Gamespy service and a large number of games thus lose multiplayer support.
