Do you know that in 45 days of fights, german daily casualties were higher than the ones during Russian campaign from the 22nd June to 10th December 1941 ? Do you know that the first tank fight of the World War Two at the town of Hannut was a french victory ? That the village of Stonne, surnamed the " Verdun of 1940", changed from side to side 17 times ? That at Landrecies, 2 french heavy tanks destroyed a hundred germans tanks in a few hours ? That the general De Gaulle, leading the 4th Armoured Division, breakthrough at Abbeville but was unable to exploit his succes due to a lack of reserve ? That the harsh defense of French troops at Lille and Dunkerque saved from capture 340 000 allied soldiers, and sanctuarized England ? That on the Loire, the Cadets of Saumur stopped 40 000 enemy soldiers ? That at the armistice, 45 fortifications of the Maginot Line on 53 were still unbeaten ?
